B&B Persi Nel Sud, Pozzallo

The room was excellent. The shower was great. The next door pizzeria was wonderful. Booking dot com wants more words... what else can I say? Everything was just perfect, even though we only stayed one night.

I arrived in the afternoon before the traffic had settled down but once all the nearby stores had closed, parking places were available and great. The location was very good. I was taking the ferry to Malta the next day and before I left, I was pleased enough with this property that I made another reservation for the night when I would be returning from Malta. I enjoyed staying in this property very much. The property did not have a lift and I had a heavy suitcase but the second time I stayed there, I just made sure that I didn't need anything that was in the suitcase for my stay.

I wish I had known that we could self check-in. We thought we needed to rush to be there to meet with the host, but then she ended up sending us self check-in instructions, which was very convenient, but it would have been helpful to know from the beginning.

Good size room with a balcony. Comfortable bed, good shower. Pleasant decor Welcoming and helpful host - provided local information appropriate to our needs. Very handy for early bus ( train replacement) to Syracuse.

Exceptional

Only stayed one night on way back from Malta but Ersilia was very helpful and gave us recommendations for a late dinner. She also helped us with where to catch bus next morning to Ragusa. Very good and would stay there again Nothing

The location,the cleanliness and friendly host.

Ersilla was really amazing . We arrived late and she was waiting for us. Then, answered all our questions, including where we could get a meal, with recommendations and directions. Ersilla also gave us the information required to get bus tickets and directions to the bus stop. She was so friendly and helpful. The location was central. Strongly recommend.

The location was very convenient for the bus to Catania and very close to the seaside restaurants. The host was very welcoming and charming, she explained everything we needed to know, took care of us and gave us great tips for where to find the best pizza in town. We really enjoyed the room even if it was just for one night. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom clean and spacious, the shutters to the windows closed perfectly making the room dark and quiet so we had a wonderful night. The AC didn't seem to cool the room enough to start with but it was very possible that we had not put it on the right setting. There was one short flight of stairs to the property and we had heavy luggage but the host graciously offered to help us carry it so it was all perfectly fine in the end.

Near railway station and buses

The location is very good and good value for money.

Our host Ersilia who met us at the apartment was great. We got in late off the ferry. She ordered our bus tickets for us to our next destination the next morning. Then went & picked them up & dropped them back to our room. The bus stop is just around the corner.

It was very close to the bus stop…and not far from a grocery store. The host was helpful, and kindly left her time at the beach to come and let me in early, gave me directions to the beach., and ordered me a taxi for the morning ferry. it was fairly quiet at night, surprising because it’s on a noisy busy street in the daytime, and there were several other guests. There was a nasty smell coming up from the sewer in the street, so I had to shut my door, and then it got hot and stuffy at night. I couldn’t use the balcony because of the smell. There was no way to make coffee or even tea. It was just a room with a bathroom. There were NO toiletries, not even soap for the shower! Pozzalo doesn’t seem to have much to recommend it, except the beach and the ferry to Malta.

The host live in the same building. For any Question they reacted on the spot. Parking around the house was safe and easy. walk to the beach 10 Minutes. The daughter of the host was super friendly and spoke English very well. no Chair on the balcony
