Chepatagonia Hostel & Coworking

Nice hostel, well located and the staff are very friendly. Helped with booking tours and proactively made breakfast earlier to accommodate tour departure times which is a nice touch. It’s quite expensive, as nice as the staff were I don’t think it was significantly different to any other hostel offering at a cheaper price.

The people are amazing, the ones working but also the people staying. Very nice atmosphere, very very helpful, especially Mati at the reception! The location is amazing and watching the sunrise or the beach from the kitchen balcony is so nice. Also the breakfast was really good!

We had the most wonderful stay at Chepatagonia. The staff are amazing, so helpful in organising well-priced tours and helping us get what we wanted. Mattie was very patient with my endless questions. The location could not be better, you can see whales from the kitchen at breakfast. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and warm. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality. The flush on the toilet took some getting used to and the shower was temperamental - however, the shower was fixed as soon as we mentioned there was a problem - so we should have said sooner!

Best hostel I've ever been to. Super helpful and friendly staff. Everything is always very clean. Enough space in the room with lots of storage space for luggage and very comfortable beds. Easy to meet people. Nice courtyard where you can spend time. The kitchen and the common room are well equipped. Good breakfast (the cookies are to die for!). Great location, practically right by the sea. Restaurant, bars and laundry nearby. They also offer various tours and activities. I was there for 5 nights and would have loved to stay longer. Thanks for the great stay!

Staff members are very nice and help with all questions. They organized an excursion to the peninsula Valdes for us as well as snorkeling with sea lions - a highlight of our trip for sure. We saw so many animals and the landscape is amazing. The hostel itself has the vibe to meet new people, since the common areas are big and comfortable. Perfect for solo travelers. It is also very close to the beach and has a nice balcony. As a plus, there are 3 very cute dogs that will greet you! The excursions are a bit expensive, this is nothing that the hostel can influence since they work with an agency and they all have the same prices, but still important to mention. The hostel itself could have organized some more activities, I had read online that they organize an asado a couple times per week but unfortunately that didn’t happen. I would still recommend the place though.

The view from the kitchen was nice. The breakfast was complete and really good. The lockers were big.

Once you enter the hostel you are automatically welcomed by a crumpy but at the same time friendly dog, the staff receives you and explains everything you want and need about the area and its surroundings. Volunteers, employees, and owners are all extremely friendly. You will find yourself eating empanadas or asado with them right after finishing your check-in. The hostel is super chill, and has rules like "kitchen close at 11 pm" but if you are not a moron and know how to behave, they will let you do whatever you want at whatever time. Cleaning is done daily, even the dog brights! PS: One of the best breakfasts I've ever had in a hostel (they have free Tabasco).

The staff was really helpful, polite and caring. Lots of appreciation for the friendly atmosphere they manage to create! I also took a trip to Punta Tombo with them, which I really enjoyed. I’d totally recommend ChePatagonia :)

Very friendly place

Great place to stay in Puerto Madryn and the staff is amazing! I had to leave earlier because of a change in my schedule, and the staff helped me a lot to look for things to do in Puerto Madryn. Thank you! The co-working place is also very nice.

The staff were super friendly and helpful with everything. Maty and Fedico were wonderful. They helped me plan my activities and gave me directions to places I wanted to visit. The kitchen facilities were fine and the breakfast was decent. There are many places to hang out and have your own space if you need it. They happily had breakfast ready early when I had to make an early tour. It is also located right across the street from the beach, which was nice. Close to many restaurants too. As a bonus they spoke English which was very helpful to me, as my Spanish is not very good. Nothing.

Super friendly staff. They help with booking tours, busses, exchanging money, etc. Everything is really clean and we felt so comfortable. Highly recommended.

The staff were excellent and very helpful in all aspects. They made time and effort to help me book flights, figure out my itinerary, and even helped me with my phone issues haha. If I ever return to Argentina, I will surely look to book with chepatogonia hostel in puerto madryn.
