It is a smaller hotel and we liked the tranquility of it. It was not overcrowded and everything felt calm and relaxed. The hotel is not on the beach. They do have a shuttle which takes you to the Beach Club. We used it as an opportunity to walk there to get some exercise. Everyone from the staff (Ulisis, Armando, Ruth, Rocise etc) is so welcoming, friendly and attentive. The room was large with a sofa and the bed was very comfy. We were worried about the noise from airplanes arriving and departing but we only noticed it in the afternoon of arrival and then it did not bother us at all. It would be great if there is a walkway through the golf course to get to the beach club. This would be cut the walk in half. Walking along the road is not an issue but there are a few hotel ruins or hotel constructions and you bypass them all on your walk to the beach or to the Marina.

Proximity to airport Old facility, beach is accessible by shuttle, were charged twice for the same booking and nobody flagged it on the hotel side

On the Casa Velas website it lists "gratuities" as being part of the all-inclusive package. You receive a "bill" at the end of every meal, the meal balance will be zero but there was a place to give a "tip or gratuity" to the staff... on EVERY bill.

This hotel is amazing. The level of care that they provide their guests is so wonderful. It’s like a very high-end resort at an approachable price. The grounds are lush and beautiful. The pool is gorgeous. The restaurants are delicious. The beach club is fabulous. I’m not gonna mention one person in particular because honestly, every single person working at that resort is so kind, helpful, and Are truly there to make your stay special. Also, make sure you do a day at the spa because I did a massage and a facial and it was amazing. If you’re used to lots of dining options at an all inclusive, you will not get that here, but all of the food is amazing.

Armando was so friendly and happy Very accommodating The front desk staff was always helpful and courteous. Grounds keeping - good morning was the theme - so polite !!! House keepers were always on top of things. Super clean - we loved them all Leaving casa Vellas by the front entrance and coming back to casa Vellas was a bit much. Coming in and out with Uber or taxi cab -we kinda felt that they were to strict

Service at times not too friendly, got a buch of attitude from one of the workers at Tau beach club because I asked for a 2nd towel. Much time waiting to be asked if I would like a drink or food by the pools. Much better service at other AI resorts.

Well appointed rooms, friendly and helpful staff that goes above and beyond. Food and drink were excellent. Beds very comfortable. Pool and gym are fantastic. We really enjoyed the relaxing, low key atmosphere we experienced throughout the resort and love the location close to the marina.

Hotel and staff were exceptional. Facilities superb and atmosphere relaxed and friendly. The all-inclusive menu was varied and good with the restaurant staff willing to cook request meals. Drinks were good quality. WE asked to change our room. the room we booked was disappointing no view and smaller than expected. we paid to upgrade our room.
