It was big and beautiful The preferred option is not really worth it! The butler should get a backup support and that’s the highlight but everything else not a big deal. I could’ve stayed the same option.

The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout the entire stay. There was zero hesitation for any request made and the communication was great. I would most certainly return let alone recommend others to stay at Secrets Royal Beach. The food was better than expected at not only the 4 restaurants on campus but also the buffet. The availability of food and libations near the pools and beach were very convenient. All in all, from our initial walk up to check-in to our check-out everything was exceptional. My wife and I cannot wait to return! The liquor selection could be greater.

The staff was very accommodating and the resort was nice and clean. The all inclusive alcoholic drinks seemed like it was watered down and we didn’t taste the alcohol in the drinks unless you were taking shots. The water bottles also seemed like there were no seals on them, which made me wonder if I was drinking tap water the entire time. The top for the bottle just opened easily and you don’t feel the seal breaking when twisting the top. Additionally, I feel the restaurants can be bigger to accommodate the large population of vacationers because having to wait 1.5 hours to be seated is a bit extensive. We weren’t also able to reserve at the hibachi because it was booked out for two days and we were told that reservations for that restaurant was only 24 hours.

Everything was okay. I really enjoyed parasailing. I did expect more as finding things. A personal map would have been very helpful. The meals..everything was the same ole thing daily. There was only one restaurant that we preferred during our week long stay. The majority of the meals were flavorless. A few of the staff weren't to pleasant during breakfast.

Food was not great. Beach grill constantly ran out of items.

Relaxing resort Aggressive “vacation club” sales pitch as soon as we arrived. Not enough designated smoking areas means the rest of us get to walk through smoke regularly.

We booked Secrets, Royal Beach for our Honeymoon! We stayed for an entire week, and we had a great time! First, I’ll start with our Butler, Felix. Felix was amazing and very accommodating. He would answer every one of my messages within two minutes, even later in the evening. We upgraded to the preferred package, which includes restaurants, private beach clubs, private pools, and a butler. As far as the resort, it’s absolutely gorgeous! The quiet pool in the middle of the resort with the Bali Beds are very relaxing, and the pool that is closer to the beach is a little more upbeat, but we really enjoyed the layout! The amazing thing about the Dominican Republic is the water. It is a picture-perfect beach with turquoise water and not too much seaweed. One of our favorite workers during our stay was Santos, who cooked all the meat at the Riviera café. We had lunch there every single day and He would be there with a smile, and he remembered us every time, which made us feel very welcome. These types of employees make a very big difference in your stay. Annetti Diaz is one of the workers who cleaned all the rooms on our floor, and she did an amazing job! She’s also very sweet! The only place where we felt there was room for improvement was the food, and most of the servers on staff, not all. If you only care about the drinks, this is a great place to be, but not if you’re looking for delicious food. There were at least three times when we sat down at a table, and the servers tried to rush us out, eager to get to the next guest. We would sit down, and they would immediately ask what we wanted to eat, not even a hello. And when the food came, it felt like it had been sitting in a fridge, already made, for hours. (Soggy chip bowl, sushi that felt like it had been sitting in the fridge all day, and steaks that had already been cooked, then reheated) Our favorite food was the buffet because there were stations where they would cook the food fresh right in front of you! Our other favorite was the hibachi night, again, because it was prepared fresh right in front of you. I totally understand that all-inclusive resorts should have food prepared so they can accommodate how many guests they have to serve, but we’ve had much better, fresh food, from other all inclusive resorts. It’s the little things. One night we ordered a dessert and it came out within one minute and the plate as well as the entire dessert was freezing cold. It most likely sat already made, in the fridge. That would be the only negative thing for us. Most of the staff everywhere else were very friendly! The only staff I felt were lacking were some of the servers looking to push guests through the restaurant as fast as possible. Overall, we recommend booking your stay here!

The property is beautiful, well maintained, and lots of areas for relaxation and leisure. Our butler, Warnes, was wonderful and helpful, he made our stay even more enjoyable! There aren’t enough chairs and shade.. had to be up at 7:30 every morning to grab two chairs by the pool

I love the resort everyone was super friendly . I upgraded to a preferred member . The food staff and resort was everything and more I never met my butler he just would speak in whatsapp app and your butler is a part of your service for the preferred member but everything still went wonderful

Satisfied with everything
-
Large Like everywhere- playing the towel game. Keep the beach gypsies away from the resort. Staff is awful. DO NOT get roped into a HVC club presentation or tour!
-
clean and very efficient
-
The service was terrible and unfortunately not there at all. Food was mediocre as well.
-
The resort did not have much to do and lacked entertainment. We were looking for a more party vibe and this resort was quiet everything shut down by 11/12 the pool dj was calm and quiet music. This resort is more for retired couples or people who want to just enjoy a quiet relaxing vibe

Thanks for everyone that working in there, to make us feel comestible and happy
-
Room was nice but it was barely a partial ocean view. Wouldn’t spend my money on that room again The fact that we had no hot water the day we arrived and the day we left The room was partial ocean view but barely could see it.

The place is beautiful and peacefully. The quality of the food is excellent! Nothing to say

Staff Bed wasn’t comfortable and for the price I should’ve had access to everything to expensive
