Nothing Hotel Staff At reception was pathetic liar! I had a terrible disappointing and stressful experience with **Super Townhouse Marine Drive Puri Formerly Royal Crown**. I booked this hotel through **Booking.com**. The booking was shown as **confirmed**, and the property itself also sent me a confirmation message through Booking.com. At no point before arrival did they clearly ask for any **prepayment**, nor did they mention that the booking would only be honored for prepaid guests. When I reached Puri with my family and went directly to the hotel, I was shocked by their behavior. The hotel staff simply said that **they did not have any rooms** and that **there was no booking**, even though the booking had already been confirmed. Instead of taking responsibility, they told me that if I had any problem, I should complain to Booking.com. In India, Booking.com mostly works as an aggregator, and in such cases all contact usually gets redirected to the property itself, so this response was extremely unhelpful and irresponsible. Then they gave another excuse, saying that they only accept bookings from people who make prepayment. But if that was their policy, why did they confirm the booking in the first place? Why was this never communicated in advance? They had no answer. The worst part was that this happened on a **Saturday**, when I was traveling with my family and most other hotels were already heavily booked. It put us in a very difficult situation.
