Tahuna Pod Hostel is located in the heart of Queenstown and features and a large balcony area with stunning views over the city. Limited on-site car parking is available for a fee. The property is only a short walk from many bars and restaurants in Queenstown. We have a variety of budget accommodations options including king-single and queen pods, plus a few private rooms for couples. Guests have access to shared bathroom facilities, with multiple facilities located on each floor. Tahuna Pod Hostel merges Maori heritage and traditional values in its design, and shares culture with guests through art, music, movies, food and entertainment.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen and relaxing layout easy to meet fellow travellers. Quiet location although so near centre. short steep walk to the start of the 'Queenstown Hill trail up to the summit (arduous but well worth it for great views). Not much headroom in lower POD as required to slide up to pillow - bed very comfy but not side-on as the orientation is 'different'.

This is the best backpacker I’ve stayed at so far. The kitchen never felt too crowded, and even though the bathroom were shared, they were more designed more like private bathrooms. so it comfortable and had good privacy. I wouldn’t really recommend it for people with a lot of luggage. There’s no lift and the rooms are a bit small so it’s not very convenient if you have a large luggage.

Friendly helpful staff, really great when I needed to add another night to my stay and great recommendations/local knowledge. Generally friendly and respectful vibe in the hotel, pod was comfy. Female only dorm available with private bathroom, was comfier than regular dorm i stayed in first night. Right next to all bars and restraunts.
