Ibis Budget Hamburg Quickborn

The hotel is conveniently located close to the large auto recycling center, which was the reason we booked it. The room itself may be fine, but unfortunately we never had the opportunity to use it. This was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I've ever had. We arrived around 2:00 AM after a long journey and made our reservation through Booking.com because rooms were still available. The payment was taken immediately, but we never received the access PIN needed to enter the hotel. Since there is no reception or staff available during the night, there was absolutely nobody to contact for help. As a result, despite paying for the room, we were forced to sleep in our van until morning. We could not shower, rest, or use any of the facilities we had paid for. We also never received a refund. If guests cannot check in during the night, the booking system should clearly prevent same-day reservations after a certain hour or provide an emergency way to obtain the access code. Charging guests for a room they cannot physically access is simply unacceptable. Parking was also extremely crowded, making it difficult to find a space. I hope the hotel improves this process, because no traveler should pay for accommodation and then be left sleeping in their car.

Clean, quiet, great breakfast. Good restaurants nearby. Room was small, but was very efficiently designed.

Very good location! Near restaurant and bus station. Cleaning service could be better. Washroom was very dirty when we arrived at the room

The isolation of the windows could be better, but it’s generally quiet in the room.

The front desk is not approachable. Thwy don’t clean the room they just give you new towels and they don’t give you the the clean linens Budgeted the cleaning and very brave lady at the frontage

Free parking. Economical option for a hault ( we were traveling from Netherlands to Denmark) Not much options in breakfast and it was below expectation.

Easy self checkin even when late. It's a good hotel for an overnight stay. The location is excellent with parking and nearby restaurants + charging for EVs Breakfast was very basic

Good location next to the motorway. Shopping mall just next door, and also several charging stations for cars. The guy at the reception was pretty rude and we felt not very welcomed.

Price is good. Very close from the highway exit. No elevator. The staffs can be contacted for a limited time

Friendly staff, placement of rooms (next to each other and on main floor), EV charging facilities nearby, next to highway (we were on route). Simple and good quality german breakfast. Beds could be more comfortable, especially the pillows
