I booked this hotel so my family could stay overnight after attending a show at Carter-Finley, and overall, we really loved the room itself. The layout was fantastic. It was spacious, clean, and having a kitchen was a huge plus. Check-in was also smooth and hassle-free. The only thing we would have preferred was a room with a bathtub so my daughter could bathe more comfortably, but that wasn’t a dealbreaker at all. We still genuinely enjoyed the room and the property. What wasn’t disclosed during booking was that our room was a connecting room. the guests in the adjoining room had a baby who cried throughout the night, and because of the connecting door, the noise carried very easily. After getting back from the concert, we barely got any sleep. I’ve worked in hospitality as a General Manager for Aloft, so I understand that inconveniences happen and that hotel policies exist for a reason. I also chose not to complain about the neighboring room because they were parents with a crying baby, and I’m sure they weren’t getting much rest themselves. I didn’t feel it was fair to make their situation into a complaint. Instead, the next morning I politely called the front desk and asked if they would consider extending our checkout by just one hour, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., so I could rest a little longer. I explained that I had attended a concert, my feet were sore, and I was struggling to pack everything up while managing my partner and toddler. It was simply a request, not an expectation, and I completely understood that the answer could be no. the way the request was handled became the most disappointing part of our stay. When the front desk answered the phone, she simply snapped, “Front desk,” with no greeting or courtesy. After I explained my request, she immediately responded, “That’s not part of the guidelines for our consideration just because you went to a concert,” in a very dismissive tone. She then said she would “ask management” and placed me on hold. About five seconds later, she returned with, “Yeah, no, can’t do that,” and hung up. Given how quickly she came back, it did not seem as though anyone had actually been consulted. We respected the decision and checked out by 11:00 a.m. The issue was never that our request was denied. Policies are policies, and I completely understand that. The issue was the unnecessary condescension and lack of basic hospitality in how it was communicated.

Clean spacious suites

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was big and clean with a dressing area outside of the bathroom. There was an elevator near our room with parking around the back for easy unloading and loading. There was a breakfast there, but we arrived late and slept in a bit so we missed it. The lobby and grounds were clean and the back yard/patio was nice. When we checked in there was only one person and they could have used two, even though it was late, there were a few people waiting and things took a little longer than expected. Checkout was easy though. We usually get 2 queen beds and they were sold out. Couch and carpet could use a cleaning. J/S

Clean room and friendly staff

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved the room it was like a small studio apartment. We had everything we needed if we wanted to prepare a meal along with plenty of outlets and surfaces for our stuff. The bathroom is generously large and there was plenty of parking

Absolutely loved our stay. The room was spacious and clean. The kitchen is a total must every time we travel with kids after this experience. Breakfast: plenty of options for all kinds of picky eaters, the gentleman in charge was helpful and efficient. We spent two nights and slept comfortably on a very nice bed, the room had excellent air contiditioning. Bathroom was spacious, shower had nice pressure, my only complaint is the faucet once turned on reveals a little bit of algea built up. The pull out sofa bed matress was springy for me but our son slept fine on it. We had plenty of towels, the pool was clean and the laundry service came in handy after the kids had a dip. Would definitely return when traveling to NC.

The room was clean for the most part, but the shower needed to be cleaned better and the was a stain of some sort on the toilet. Also, the light fixtures by the bed could use a little wipe down. The overall appearance of the hotel however was very clean.

Everything the hotel could do was excellent. It was the other guest that made it miserable, the pool was too crowded to use and people were extremely loud in the lobby, even the hotel personnel had to ask them to quiet down. We did see the breakfast when we got up but to be honest we didn’t even ask, we were just ready to leave. Again, it was nothing the hotel could have done differently, just a bad experience from other guest but I think that everywhere now.
