Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa

Expected more updated rooms (beds and bedding could have been taken up a notch) with less glitches (TVs weren’t working properly, WiFi was a challenge) for the price. The all inclusive mini bar, champagne at check in were all nice touches but a bit outdated for the cost, especially as it’s not on the ocean.

Very nice property and customer service. Spa is wonderful and accessible even without a service which is a huge plus. Fresh squeezed OJ every morning is a nice touch!

The most relaxing property in San Diego. The staff are excellent, friendly and always ready to assist. The room was superb. This is our go to happy place in San Diego.

Nice place, a little noisy as we were near the pool

Everything was perfect. From the welcome at the gate, a quick and informative check in process, the spa with the best deep tissue massages, dinner, breakfast, drinks, it was a perfect place for a quick getaway.

Tennis courts and staff are top notch. Rooms are very large and luxurious. Staff is super accomodating and make you feel special. All in all, we felt like royalty.

Casitas and property is stunning! Rooms are clean and comfortable. We went with kids age 10 and 8 and they loved the pool and our room. Only areas for improvement are: 1) staffing the family pool during the week, not just the weekend. It's a SPENDY place to not have somebody taking lunch and drink orders at the pool. We had to dial in the order and wait a fairly long time to get it. 2) Food is VERY mediocre, and of course incredibly over-priced for what it is. 3) The amount of plastic water bottles used is a little embarrassing; seems they could get with the eco-program and find a better way to do this without all the waste. Hoping that the ramp-up after COVID may bring the service and food program up a notch. I'd need that to return at this price tag!

Everything was great!

Loved everything about our stay. The staff is outstanding - they go above and beyond to accommodate their guests and they are beyond friendly and engaged. The spa was outstanding. Treatments and fitness classes were thoroughly enjoyable. The food was delicious. Our accommodations were lovely.

Rancho Valencia is one of the best high end hotels I’ve stayed in. Rooms come with fireplace and are comfortable, close to dining options. Also a very nice gym and spa. Five Stars!

Everything from the welcoming reception, the friendly staff, the room and amenities was phenomenal. We also loved the Velladora restaurant and the Pony Room bar.

Champagne sabering with Dan was the perfect welcome to our arrival.
