La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham-Red Oak TX IH-35E

This property is under construction. The area around it is also under construction. It's very hard to navigate around this area but there is easy access to the highway once you get through the gravel that the construction has used to connect the roads. This la quinta only has one elevator right now and it's not that busy so that's fine. Breakfast is great and rooms are clean just make extra time to get to your appointments because you will be spinning around in circles until you finally escape the construction traffic.

The elevators were broken, so you have to use the stairs half the time the other one hasn't worked in years. They need to get with the company and fix the elevators

Just normal. Didn’t really converse with staff but all went well. Property was very clean.. Would stay here again.

The room smelled like mold, there was a cockroach in my room, when the AC would turn on it smelled dirty and the alarm clock was going off at 5:30am.

The 2 only Elevators were broken for a couple of days. We go in late so couldn't go anywhere else. The one and only young employee on the property tried to help us get our luggage to the second floor. We felt sorry for her. We were winded and they should have told us before we got there. Terrible night and no help leaving also. The Gal at the front desk said the Manager was at a meeting and we knew She was lying because She had the biggest Diamond ring on and we knew She was Management or Proprietor.

Didn't get it. I was put on the 3rd floor with the ELEVATOR OUT OF ORDER. I am a handicap and had to drag all my luggage up the stairs. I paid for the week because I work in the area during the week. Air conditioner was in and out the whole time. A lot of construction on the road in front of the property and rained most of the week so a lot of mud getting out of the property.

I am writing regarding our recent week-long stay at your La Quinta hotel. Unfortunately, during our visit, the elevator was not working, which caused a significant inconvenience for us as guests in our late 60s. Having to use the stairs repeatedly throughout an entire week was difficult, uncomfortable, and physically stressful, especially considering our age. We chose your hotel expecting a safe, convenient, and comfortable stay, and the broken elevator greatly affected our overall experience. Upon getting to the hotel of the day I was expected, no accessible room was available and was given a room on the 3rd floor. On top of that, the elevators have been out of order. I am a handicap with a prosthetic leg and had to drag all my luggage to the 3rd floor using the stairs and being there the whole week I've had to go up and down the stairs all week as I am staying here for work. I could not get a refund on the week stay because I did use hotels.com (3rd party). This was a learning curve of booking with hotels.com as there is no refund and no guarantee on the room stated as available. Especially being charged full price.

Our room was on the 3rd floor and the elevators became inoperable on our last day. The challenge was getting 2 kids and all of our belongings downstairs when we checked out. Hopefully it was repaired quickly.
