Holiday Inn Express & Suites Redding by IHG

We stayed on the 3rd floor and everything was great, until we were getting ready for bed at 10 pm. We noticed a couple tiny bugs on the comforter. When I pulled back the sheets there were multiple tiny bugs that scattered. We checked the second bed… same thing. We had pictures and videos of bugs. They gave us 2 new rooms on the second floor. (We had a suite to begin with.) We were super grateful but when we went into the first room it smelled off (we found old fast food under the bed that had been left) and the A/C was not working. We ended up all cramming in the other room. We wanted to go somewhere else but I was terrified to put any of our clothes or blankets in my car. We ended up putting all of our clothes in big black trash bags and I had to go buy some laundry soap, come back and wash ALL of our stuff so we didn’t bring any critters back with us. Long story short. They told me to email the manager (because it was a weekend.) They offered me a 20% discount. When I asked for at least one night taken care of they didn’t write me back ( with multiple attempts to contact them) and I never even received the 20% discount.

Kids got stuck in the elevator while we were there. My mom said the day staff didn’t call 911 first they called the owners. Have to give kuddos to the cleaning lady who stepped up when the cook didn’t show. She doesn’t cook but she still stepped up to ensure we all still got some kind food

The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. The staff were very helpful as well. There was plenty of parking. The only problem I had was that the tv does not have a guide. There is a printout of the channels; however, it does not include local channels. Additionally, without a guide you cannot determine what shows are coming on later.

Clean and spacious rooms, quiet place, good basic breakfast and the staff was very friendly.

Everything was great! We forgot toothpaste and they were not able to provide any for us, though it was something they offered in the event a guest forgot an essential. Otherwise- excellent. They breakfast staff and housekeeping were exceptional.

The Holiday Inn and Suites in Redding was generally adequate for what I needed: a place to stop between the Bay Area in California and Eugene. My room was quite inexpensive. The room was clean, and there was free parking. So I reminded myself to bring shampoo next time in case I find that the dispenser is broken, as it was here. I would have liked more light in the room, but I didn't really need it. The bed was good, not too soft.

Stayed here for a weekend for a wedding. Great location. Quiet at night but close to stores and restaurants. Just a little over an hour to waterfalls and hikes. Breakfast was convenient. Staff was friendly. Plenty of parking. Rooms were clean.

Great place clean and great staff

The elevator had a strong foul smell, and the corridor also smelled bad with dirty carpet. The towels were not clean. There was a large hole with mold in the shower wall. Staff did not pick up the trash even after I called.

The room was not fancy but clean, parking was close by and no charge and staff was kind and helpful.

Didn’t like dogs in the motel that were not service dogs Dogs bark and smell If motels what to house them build outdoor facilities for them I like dogs but not in my motel whwere I look for a good nights sleep and am not worried about my grandkids getting bit

Amazing rooms and great value!

It was conveniently located. There was a basketball tournament happening the weekend of our stay so staff told us they closed the pool because it gets too chaotic with all of the kids. That was pretty disappointing because we had booked that hotel because it had an indoor pool and the weather wasn’t great that weekend.

Great place to stay!

Things were good until we tried to extend our stay. On Friday I thought I booked another night. When Sunday came around which was our original day to check out the staff member came pounding on our door and said we need to get out as we are late to check out. I was not there and my wife was rudely treated and packed up quickly and before I got her message and call the hotel she had checked out. The person at the front desk said she left and they found that I had booked an extra day but that didn’t mean everything was right. We will not stay there again.

Minor repairs of the property just small things but my stay was great. We will be back
