We had a really lovely room, comfy bed. We had an issue with the lick on our bedroom door, which was sorted by Alex, thanks The system in the restaurant for recognising who has ordered what, at what table needs to be addressed. The waiters didn't appear to know where the food and drink were going. Also at breakfast we had an incredibly long wait. My partner and I ordered the same breakfast. We both had different things missing from our plates

Breakfast and dinner No air conditioning in any room also room were dirty and dusty

The evening meal I had was very good. The breakfast was very good indeed and in both cases the menu on offer was extensive. I only had a single room, it was small but it was more than sufficient for my needs and the bathroom was of a good size and clean. A fan was provided but the room did get pretty hot (early August 2026).

Location was good Not very clean, very outdated, no aircon in room and no lifts

St Agnes head is just over 20 minutes drive away. St Erth train station is 20 /25 minutes drive park in carpark get train to St Ives. Cronwall Gold is less than 10 minutes away, lovely museum/ jewellery shop about mining & milling history in the area. Kids and adults have a great time panning for “Treasure “. Excellent breakfast. Traditional feel. Friendly and helpful staff. Quality of meals in general. Our room was disappointingly compact. Piece of plastic packaging in a dessert spoiled an otherwise excellent meal.

Breakfast and the hotel were lovely but my room was so small. The bed was tiny too and the room was really hot . They had put a noisy fan in the room to try to help with the heat but because the room was so incredibly small the fan had to be right next to my head Tiny room, noisy fan, tiny bed. I have stayed at penventon multiple times always paying a similar rate and have had some great experiences. Given the weather, they really shouldn't have put me in the tiny little oven room.

The hotel was clean, and the toiletries provided in the bathroom were really high quality. Most of the staff we interacted with were very friendly and welcoming. We also really enjoyed the swimming pool. Overall, we had a lovely stay and were very happy with our experience at Penventon Park Hotel. The beds weren’t very comfortable, but they weren’t the worst we’ve slept in either.

Beautiful hotel from the driveway in to the dining facilities & lounge to the bedroom. We had a twin room which was spacious & had all facilities we needed including a fridge/iron/safe/complimentary water every day/hot drinks station with a great choice. Breakfast was lovely & plentiful every morning. We ate an evening meal which was tasty, reasonably priced & beautifully presented. The staff we encountered on reception, room service, housekeeping & wait/bar staff could not do enough throughout our 4-night stay. We did not have time to try an afternoon tea or the spa but one for next time!
