Z boutique Hotel

We booked Z Hotel last minute and we could not have been happier with our choice. The location in a small village made parking our rental car and taking day trips to beaches and to the mountains so easy and effortless. The property itself was also just lovely. An oasis of a garden with a small pool and an attention to design detail and historic preservation that was such a wonderful counterpoint to some of the characterless places we'd stayed before in Crete. Our room was also beautifully appointed - lovely linens, a comfortable bed, a wonderful shower and bathroom with good lighting and A/C. Even at the street level we had almost no noise as the streets are closed except to pedestrians on that side of the building. Finally, we LOVED our hosts (kind, attentive and eager to help out with recommendations) as well as the AMAZING variety and quality of the housemade breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

I can't say enough about this place. I think I could happily live there. We had a beautiful room with plenty of space to relax. The breakfast was a highlight with new treats each morning. The hotel was centrally located in the village—walking distance to fabulous restaurants, the beach, and more. Nikki was so helpful. We hope to visit again soon!

Maira is the best part of the hotel! She runs it like a pro, she is always professional, kind, and brightens your day. She helped us with everything we asked for. The woman responsible for the cleaning is also incredible - I have never been in a cleaner hotel room. They made the stay so comfortable and cozy for us! I also really liked the cute little village the hotel was in.

Absolutely lovely hotel, small and calm, with fantastic staff! The breakfast was great too. We stayed in the Silene suite, with a big, sunny terrace.

Firstly Panormos is a little gem. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located in the village. It is a calm haven in the middle of the busy village. Everything in the hotel is gorgeous and luxurious and seems individually sourced. The staff are lovely and very helpful. And the breakfast is very very good. Nothing.

The breakfast was excellent with plenty of homemade choices The location of the hotel was ideal The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to help my wife and I celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary The coffee at breakfast was not to our taste but this is a minor criticism. It would be helpful to have the emergency contact number displayed on the Reception desk when staff are not on duty as it would be helpful to people like us that foolishly locked themselves out of the bedroom!

We LOVED everything about Z Boutique Hotel The location is perfect - at the quiet end of a street which leads straight into the heart of the beautiful village of Panormos. The hotel itself is tastefully converted with exposed stonework and beautifully decorated and furnished throughout and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts are to die for! The most interesting choice of foods I've ever known on a breakfast buffet and every day there was something new to try. Everything was prepared by the wonderful Nikki or her lovely daughter Nancy and beautifully presented and plentiful. This is a true gem of a hotel managed by Nikki - a charming and vibrant woman whose hospitality was second to none, who was incredibly helpful and was also tremendous fun with a great sense of humour. We stayed in the Silene suite on the top floor of the hotel. It has a private and very large terrace overlooking the garden and plunge pool. It was simply perfect! We breakfasted every morning in the garden which is really peaceful - it was a lovely way to start each day. There are several sun beds in the garden surrounding the plunge pool. The pool is small, spotlessly clean and perfect for dipping into to cool off in on hot afternoons when we came back from a day out. We spent most of our days at Spilies Beach which is a short drive from the hotel. Would highly recommend a drive into the mountains up to Margarites and on to the Museum of Archeology at Eleftherna. A day trip to Rethymnon was also a good day out. Our evenings were spent wandering out from the hotel and down the pretty stone road for just 200 metres to the excellent Olive Tree Bar for cocktails and draft Mythos before heading off to one of the many excellent tavernas for dinner - all within easy walking distance. So don't even pause before booking a stay at Z Boutique Hotel if you're looking for a peaceful relaxing stay in a quiet typically Cretan village where there are so many great places to eat. Nothing at all.

An outstanding hotel in every way. Wonderful staff, could not do enough for us - even packed us a breakfast when we left early! Delicious, home-cooked breakfasts...something different and fresh daily. Perfectly located in a quiet street, a minute from tavernas and the beach. FANTASTIC. There is not a single thing that could be done to improve on this gem of a hotel. Loved every minute. Small, intimate, beautiful...fabulous service by friendly staff. Excellent value for money - and where I will be staying next time I visit Crete.

Absolutely beautiful. My suite was gorgeous and had a lovely rooftop terrace. It is all decorated tastefully and is spotlessly clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It is in a perfect spot. Nothing.

Niki and all staff were very open, polite, helpful, real Create hospitality!!)) The place is very clean and cousy, very close to the beach, restaurants, shops, travel agencies! The balcony at evening - is very comfortable and nice. Thank you!!

This hotel is a little gem of a place. If your after peace and relaxation this is the place for you. The staff were all so very lovely, always helpful and cheery and could not do enough. The hotel is spotlessly clean and just has an air of understated elegance. Breakfast is simple but delicious with lots of local goodies, preserves, spinach feta tarts, the local thyme honey and wonderful greek yoghurt. I will certainly be returning and would recommend to anyone who is need of recharging their batteries. After a week here left feeling like a new woman. There was nothing that I didn't like.

nice decor, comfy bed, lovely small outside space with room and roof terrace also, very nice hot shower. the window in the bathroom is not very private, looking out into a communal area, needs some sort of frosted glass. the toilet smells also smells a bit, not sure why as it all looks clean, could be to do with the shower leaking a little and the water going behind the toilet.
