The building is incredible The beach and beach service is bad. Small beach all chairs are all together. Not for a 5 star hotel. The pool has no sun.

Social vibe Rooms are outdated. The service needs a lot of improvement.

The AC was directed right at bed. Hotel was full and we were not offered any other room. Handling of the situation could have ben better. The first person was very un-attentive, but then it escalated and manager sorted it out. We got offered a free breakfast which was ok solution. The room was also facing construction site. SPA was mediocre - my wife had problems with product used for facial. Also there are queues -- the hotel is understaffed.

Nothing, it was dirty, no towels in the bathroom, no hair dryer, check out was later than the hour on the reservation. Crowded, long lines on the check in and check out. Everything

Reception crowded, we wait for 40 minutes for to do the check in. Receptionist very impolite and nervous. Nobody appears to clean our room, I'd search and ask for help to people that was working outside of my room. Everything, Good only food in the restaurant and superb view. Room service didn't answer anytime.

The breakfast was excellent if a little pricey. The choice was extensive and very welcome. The staff were responsive apart from a rather sad figure making the omelettes. The price could’ve been better. The staff at check-in couldn’t find my reservation number and initially were not very friendly. But it passed when they found out. I was a platinum level Fairmont client

I stay at Fairmont every time I visit Rio. My experience with the hotel is only better each time. The staff is excellent, and the property is kept in great shape
