I loved the hosts! It was like being home. You could interact as much or as little as you wanted. Chris is an impressive person and we laughed a lot. The house is very pretty, the garden one in a million. I would definitely stay again without a doubt.

A beautiful place to stay at in the pretty neighbourhood of Santa Teresa. We stayed for a week and were comfortable for the entire duration of our stay. There is everything you might need and the host, Cris, is very friendly and hospitable.

Very well located in a quite side of Santa Teresa. the charming house has a lovely garden with view, the neighborhood is safe and so beautiful. The host is very friendly, nice and helpful. I also loved the relaxed atmosphere.

We stayed 6 days, and we mostly stayed in the garden. It's truly am oasis amid the busy city. We also walked around the neighborhood, and the houses are so beautiful. The host is very friendly, nice, relaxed and accommodating. We liked the place so much, we wanted to extend our stay. She did everything to make this possible. We had heard bad stories about Rio, but this neighborhood and house is very safe! We used the common kitchen. There is a tiny shop 100 mtr down the road, that sells most things you need. If you go 100 mtr up you can find a nice meal with rice, beans, fish, french fries and a salad for 5 usd. Everything was good. It's an old traditional house. Don't expect anything too flash. The doors don't have a lock with a key. But the house and neighborhood is so safe, that this is not a problem.

This house had been built with a lot of love and is an absolutely gorgeous location. The view is amazing and Chris was welcoming and warm and really made me feel at home.

The most beautiful house I have ever seen in my life, I liked it very much.The host is very helpful and kind, I definitely recommend you to stay in this hotel. We had a great time with my wife. The location of the hotel is centrally located and safe in the city of Rio de janeiro.

I loved to stay at Cris house, it is very charming, has a lovely garden and the neighborhood is my favorite in Rio. Also it was amazing to chat with Cris. Would always come back.

Good location in Santa Teresa. Our host Cris was very friendly and helpful, and is a talented musician. The garden was lovely to sit in, with a cool breeze and great views of the city. There were a few biting insects but this is likely given the time of year. A mosquito net over the bed would have been perfect for the night.
