Boasting stunning cliff-top views over Robin Hood’s Bay, this grand Victorian hotel is on the edge of the North York Moors. Offering stylish and welcoming accommodations, superb dining experiences, and unique entertainment spaces. Light and elegant, the rooms all provide a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and free tea and coffee for guests. Every bedroom has a private bathroom with free Elemis toiletries and a hairdryer. Dog-friendly rooms have recently been added along with an accessible suite. Using local Yorkshire ingredients, Osborne’s Sea View Restaurant serves seasonally inspired à la carte brunch, lunch, and dinner menus as well as a quintessential afternoon tea menu. The Loxley traditional pub provides real ales and serves hearty dishes. Historic Whitby is located just 10 minutes’ drive away and 25 minutes’ drive from scenic Goathland. Guests can enjoy the dramatic scenery of the nearby North York Moors or drive along the Yorkshire Heritage Coast. Please note that the room in the Captains Quarters are located in a separate building next to the main hotel. Our Captains Quarters rooms are pet friendly. Car parking is on a first come first served basis due to limited parking spaces.

The room was excellent with superb views of Robin Hoods Bay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was rather very good. The 'Victorian' ambience was charming No one in reception on arrival, waited 25 minutes for someone to be found & book us in. Car parking spaces were restrictive, seemingly many taken up by staff vehicles. A meal at dinner was over cooked and ruined what was supposed to be a special evening. (this was subsequently addressed by management). Staffing levels in the dining room were not sufficient, causing long delays between courses. In fact a desert menu was presented, but the waiter never came back to take the order. We didn't bother and left.

Breakfasts were great couldn't fault it or the staff. Location is fantastic and managed to get a parking space behind the hotel. Curtain covering door to balcony is very stained and carpet wasn't hoovered during our 4 night stay. Down pipe outside balcony door is very off putting when people in floor above use the bathroom also a strong sewer smell when on balcony

Absolutely Top Hotel , we chose this place to celebrate our special day. Rooms with balcony and sea view were amazing, such a tasty food and drinks . Very welcoming and helpful staff. Thank you for make our stay 7 stars. All was Perfect !

Top drawer tasty breakfast multiple options on the menu the room was well stocked with luxury toiletries was spotless every day and really comfy the view wasnt the best but wasnt bothered in the slightest only slept in it each night

Nice traditional Hotel in a great location for Robin Hood’s Bay, Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors. Dog friendly as long as you book the correct rooms and the Staff were very helpful in this respect.

Superb views from the dining room, super supper Our room wasn’t in the main hotel , but in an adjacent house so we didn’t feel the full splendour or staying in the stylish main hotel. Quite pricey for one night.
