INTERIOR DESGN, THE FURNITURE , THE VIEWS AND THE HOSPITALITY. Nothing
-
transparent glass (semi frosted) sliding bathroom door (no lock and open on both sides), cold showers (stayed 3 nights and 2 out of 3 showers in the morning were cold), the bathroom mirror was placed so high on the wall I could not see myself, no refrigerator (the staff was kind to keep my food in the main house), no iron (one iron for the entire hotel and we were several families coming for a wedding) . This stay was not worth the cost they charged.

The room smelled a lot. Strong smell of humidity
-
It looks nice from outside Everything else

Tesla superchargers were very conveniently placed We would have liked the facility for a good evening meal, although we found an excellent restaurant within 5 minutes drive.
-
Good location but not many places to eat unless you are driving to dinner

The decor was stunning and the buildings beautiful. Tesla superchargers on site was a huge added bonus. Super buffet breakfast.

Very good

Stunning hotel close to local attractions and river The room we stayed in adjacent to the main house had some damp issues.

Everything 1 we paid in advance for breakfast. We realised when we were there that we had paid for a full cooked breakfast, which we don't have; another time we would pay for a continental breakfast once there. 2 the TV remote didn't work, we told the staff it needed new batteries, but we were given a lecture on how to operate it instead. We later insisted on the batteries, and everything was OK, but it shouldn't have been necessary to ask twice.

Exceptional

Room was very nice, the beds were comfortable and the the bathroom spaceous and modern. The bar was OK and the breakfast was nice although we only had the cold buffet. The building and location are a sight to see and with the advantage of Tesla SuC's in the 2nd car park an absolute bonus! Staff very friendly and helpfull. The shower head was loose and the room had a very slight damp and musty smell. The was no restaurant for evening meals and the town centre was a car journey or 90 mins walk away.

Old Chateaux style property with a modern twist. Beautifully appointed and well maintained. Our room was in the pavilion. The bedroom was small, the lighting was poor and the bed was very, very low. Chic but not practical. There was only one chair and there was no view.

Nice location. Clean tidy rooms. No restaurant or bar on site. Staff gone home at 9pm

Not much, apart from the décor, which is exceptional, if you're happy with everything in black and white! It did have a Tesla car charging park, which is clearly good for those with electric cars (ours wasn't) Many aspects of the room, which was in an annexe, not the main building, were not practical and even uncomfortable. As someone with a little experience in hospitality, I have written a detailed report direct to the hotel The only food available in the evening (in glass jars!) was disgusting by any standards, especially for a French 4* hotel. There was a bar, but not one single bottle was on display! Breakfast was given as from 07.00. On our day of departure nothing was ready by 08.15. The position of the hotel is given as 'over the Loire'. But you can't see the river, for example, from the terrace, because the trees in front are so high.

Great breakfast. Inspiring decor with fabulous views. Friendly staff and highly recommended. Restaurant on site for dinner

The online presentation. I would rate the staying at Art Hotel, lower than poor. For the fees charged I would not expect to have mold odor in the room and to receive a room that I didn’t book. When I made the reservation at Art Hotel, a 4 star hotel, I was expecting to treat my pregnant wife at a high standard. The first surprise came when we arrived at the hotel, around 14:00 and the reception mentioned that even if the room was ready, we cannot check in until 18:00. If we want to check in earlier, we need to pay extra… then we decided to have lunch.. another bad surprise with the serving and even worse… with the food itself. It was frozen food from a jar and in the menu there was not mention that the food is not prepared by them in the kitchen. They just warmed it up and brought it to the table… they didn’t even bother at least to put in in a nice plate. The big surprise came when we finally checked in. The room was not in the castle as we expected but in a house next to the road… nothing to do with what we booked. The smell inside was awful. There was mold smell everywhere and my pregnant wife could not stand the smell and was not healthy for her and the baby. We tried to change the room and they asked us money for the change, which I did not find it reasonable. We were opened to change the room but the other room which was presented to us had the same unbearable smell of mold. We left the windows and the door opened for more than one hour but all these efforts were in vain. The smell followed us the next two days, as it remained in our Pyjamas. I would not recommend this hotel due to conditions, services and the lack of transparency.
