Hampton Inn & Suites Rocky Hill - Hartford South

We stayed for the travelers championship tournament from Friday to Monday. Per sticky in the bathroom mirror, room service was supposed to come every other day. We were gone all day Sunday and room service never came. We had trash from Friday-Sunday and all towels used. For what we paid for that weekend I would have hoped for better service. Breakfast was okay, certainly not worth spreading the news about.

The hotel was clean, but upon check-in the staff member working the front desk was extremely rude and unfriendly. The front desk area was not busy at the time, so there was no reason for the staff member to be so unpleasant to deal with. My family and I were traveling from out of state and not familiar with the area. When we asked about local restaurants for dinner the staff member told us that she was not able to help us and that we would need to look online for restaurant information. Then when we got to our room, it was the wrong type of room. Not what we had reserved! When we had hauled all of our luggage back downstairs and explained the mistake, the staff member continued to be rude and had an attitude because she had to reassign us a room. It was very obvious that this employee did not enjoy her job. I do not recommend this hotel simply because of how we were treated by the staff.

Okay for a one night stay in order to be near family we were visiting. Room smelled musty, bathroom was good sized and seemed clean but room itself felt a bit shabby. Front desk staff member when we checked in was polite enough but not friendly and seemed like she didn’t want to be there.

Food was ok. Pool was cold. Overall a decent experience

It’s a nice place. Nothing special. Good breakfast good rooms decent location. Nothing wrong with the hotel or room just nothing special either. Was quiet and bed was comfortable and the tv/shower worked, that’s about all I cared about. So fit my needs fine. Not talking bad about the place absolutely nothing wrong with the hotel, slept well and had no issues when I checked in the guy was nice and took care of me quickly. It’s just nothing fancy that says it’s worth couple hundred bucks a night.

Clean hotel comfy beds!! Recommend. They have changed toilet paper, common Hampton don’t go cheap on us, they toilet paper is horrible. All else good. Thank you

We stayed here for my daughters' dance competition, which was at a local high school nearby, and one thing I can say about this area is that there is sooooo much shopping, dining, and entertainment nearby. The location was fantastic and very convenient for everything we needed. We primarily chose this hotel because they start serving breakfast at 6 AM, whereas many hotels either start at 7 AM or don’t offer breakfast at all. Since we had to leave by 6:15 AM, this ended up being an extremely helpful feature for us. I did request a quiet area of the hotel because of our early wake-up time. While I understand the staff can’t control every guest, the walls felt thin. There was a group of adults partying and hanging out in the hallway late at night, and around 11:30 PM I finally stepped out and politely asked them to move into their room instead of loitering in the hallway. They were respectful and did go inside, but I could still hear laughing and partying until almost 1:30 AM, so while this wasn’t necessarily a reflection of the hotel at all, it definitely reflected how little sound insulation there was between rooms and hallways. I did ask other friends, who stayed at other hotels if they had similar issues and they did say that they got little sleep as well due to nosey people, so perhaps this is just common among weekend stays in this town. Overall, the location and early breakfast were major positives. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

My room was clean and I never had to worry about asking for more towels or toilet paper because it was stocked. I also appreciated it was relatively quiet during the evening hours. I would definitely recommend the property and I will be staying at the property in the very near future. To the entire staff - Thank you!
