Nothing. I booked an apartment for three persons but large enough for four persons not being 100% sure if my son would be able to make it. Once my son confirmed that he'll join us, I notified Gianluca (the owner) 48hrs prior to our arrival. He was rude, saying that I gave him "last minute notice" and he cannot accommodate my son even though the apartment had enough beds for four persons or more. Please do not book his apartments. I cannot believe that Booking.com does business with this individual.

Good location, nice room Staff are very poor quality, Manager is essentially uncontactable unless you chase him for it and his father decided to start an argument with me after entering the room whilst the do not disturb sign on the door. Not entirely sure why either of them thought they acted appropriately, maybe it’s a culture thing but cussing me out in Italian just because you think I don’t speak the language doesn’t make you hard, especially when you look like Italian Santa Clause

DO NOT BOOK - BEDBUGS. We had an unspeakably terrible experience with Michelangelo Vatican Rooms. We booked 3 nights here. On the third night, we found that the headboard of the bed was completely infested with bedbugs. There were also bedbug carcasses underneath the bed frame. We immediately reported the situation to the hotel, expecting at a minimum to be transferred to another room. They instead denied that the bedbugs existed--ludicrous, considering we sent photos--and said someone would check the next day. Because it was already midnight and we could not find an alternative, we had no choice but to kill as many bugs as we could, pull the bed away from the headboard, and leave as soon as we could the next day. Despite abundant evidence of the infestation, the hotel refused to provide any refund or compensation for the unhygienic conditions of the room or the hours we spent doing laundry. They went on to personally insult us and accuse us of lying, even though they eventually were forced to admit that there were, in fact, bedbugs. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had with any hotel.

I appreciate that we had water to drink, especially taking into consideration that we arrived late and there were no open stores. First of all, the owner did not answer my messages at all ( only exception was when we arrived as he had to give us the info on how to get the keys) It was cold and despite the fact that it was mentioned in the booking details that we had the AC as a facility, it didn’t work ( we message the owner 2 times and asked about it - never received an answer, he completely ignored my messages). There was dust everywhere also.

Good location, clean room. Because there is no reception, the initial entry into the property is somewhat cumbersome. Owner/manager was rude, sarcastic, and disrespectful. Definitely did not expect or appreciate that.

It was very clean and neat. The building itself felt very safe, because it’s not easily accessible to everyone. We had some snacks and drinks refilled everyday. Just the noises coming from upstairs late at night, but it was bearable.

The room was clean. I paid more than @200.00 per night and later saw the room was advertised at less than one third the price. I am requesting reimbursement of the excessive price I paid for the room. Total price paid more than $1,000.00 for four nights. Booking.com advertised the room for less than $100.00 per night. I should be reimbursed $500.00 for the excessive rate paid. Please advise.
