InterContinental Rome boasts an unbeatable location right in the heart of the city, within easy walking distance of major landmarks. The surrounding area is pleasant with a lovely atmosphere, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. The property fully lives up to its 5-star rating, featuring elegant decor, premium facilities and sophisticated common areas that deliver a luxurious stay experience. However, housekeeping service leaves much to be desired. However, housekeeping service leaves much to be desired. The room cleaning lacks attention to detail. Toiletries and bathroom amenities were not restocked promptly after being used, which is disappointing for a high-end five-star hotel. It would be great if the cleaning team could double-check supplies during daily turndown service.

Unfortunately, it was a very bad experience, especially with the receptionist, Christina. She treated me very badly, which is unbecoming of a hotel of this name. There was absolutely no flexibility. I was charged €200 for late check-out until 4 PM, which is equivalent to half a night's rate, and when I was 10 minutes late, she asked for an additional €100. They ask for a fee for every little thing you request from the hotel. I have never experienced worse treatment from any hotel I have ever stayed at.
