Del Mar Motel

This is a two-story motel. The whole building shakes violently whenever anyone climbs the stairs, especially guests carrying luggage. It was a really unsettling experience.

The place and views were immaculate.

The housekeeping staff was great, very friendly. Now the not so good. The mini fridge didn't keep my items cold Now the bad. I wanted to check in a hour early. I had to pay $50 in cash and $20 in cash for parking. They have a sketchy atm, that charges $4. I went down the street to the bank.

I waited a long time to check in. Staff wasn’t there and I also waited a long time to check out and get my cash deposit. No one ever showed up so I left. The room smell like mildew.

I stayed here with my homegirl for 2 nights and honestly with us being 2 young women we both felt comfortable and safe staying here! At first we were a little nervous staying here because of the negative reviews, but after arriving it smelled and felt pretty clean, maybe not 100% spotless as there was a couple of things but for a motel and the price it was nice and comfortable to stay in. staff was kind and understanding, we had some issues with the toilet and the sink (assuming the problems were caused by previous visiters) and the staff was kind enough to fix the issues . Bed was comfy, shower was nice, had a mini fridge, has a microwave downstairs and not directly in the rooms, had an AC. A couple of things I would like to mention if you are planning on staying here, if you like a thick blanket bring your own as the only blanket available is the the red sheet in the photo (its thin). Great place to stay, yummy sushi spot like 3 minutes away driving.

Tagging all over inside the room and furniture. As soon as I checked in. I left and found something way better. The pictures online lie.The bed had holes and stains. The bed spread was stained.Everything overall was horrible.i felt I was going to get robbed listening to the people outside ?

No blanket for the bed. Only one towel for showering—nothing for drying hands or for placing on the floor in front of the shower. Broken refrigerator. No Wi-Fi—the room is too far away!!! Avoid at all costs!!!!
