The Heritage Angelo d'Oro, formerly a Bishop`s Palace from the 17th century, is an elegant boutique hotel in Rovinj's historic pedestrian center. The green-shuttered façade on the Via Svalbe street is typically Venetian and inside, vaulted ceilings and exposed stone walls create intimate spaces for dining and relaxation. Location in the center of Rovinj was perfect. Facilities were historic, and really good. Staying in Rovinj was the last stop for us in Croatia. Weren't quite sure what to expect. Rovinj went so far above expectations. A lovely, smaller adriatic city with a strong Italian cultural history. The views from across the town were idyllic and breathtaking. Rovinj is smaller than the hustling, bustling Dubrovnik and Split experiences, though still plenty of tourists. But the smaller size made so much more accessible, and you became familiar with the town very quickly. We loved Rovinj, and the Hotel d'Oro, and will plan to be back. Exceptional! Hotel, location, and town were perfect!

Staff could not have more attentive. Five star service. Exceptional location. Spotless. If you have difficulty with steps as there are alot of them (usual for a historic property like this) be sure to request first floor accommodations.

This was not a problem for my husband and me, but one thing to be mindful of is that the hotel is in a historic building that does not have an elevator. If you have any mobility issues, I would recommend reaching out to them first to make sure there are appropriate accommodations for your needs.

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. By the time we left, we felt we had new friends. The breakfast for such a relatively small place was exceptional. Lots of variety and great quality. There was nothing to complain about. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The location was great.
