Alm 34 mit 24 Stunden Self Check in Sportresort located between Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer and Maria Alm, a 10-minute drive from Zell am See and the Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang Ski Area. Free high-speed WiFi access is available. The modern and spacious rooms offer mountain views and a private bathroom. Easy check in. Simple and clean setup. Great views of the mountain No laundry. Not that close to town. Pool table gave splinters

Its a dorm and priced accordingly. The facilities are basic, clean room, bed, washroom and has adequate internet and free parking.To save money they use self checkin and this is prone to issues as I discovered. The self checkin in machine did not allow me to check in even after multiple attempts. I then called the help desk number and the staff were able to facilitate the check in manually over riding the machine and I had the same issue checking out. There is no room facilities for tea coffee/fridge but its a dorm. The security was good and I felt safe even as there were very few guests in the dorm. Good value for money and so the usual facilities in a hotel set up are missing but you pay for what you get. A clean bed, security, good location, free parking everything else is a bonus and not necessary for a one night stay.

Accessibility was great, the fact that I could check in at any given time was a great advantage The room itself, considering its prize wasn't that good looking, but for the purpose of just sleeping for a couple of hours, taking a shower and to leave in the morning (again - great advantage is that I could leave with automatic check out) it was very good base camp for Grossglockner.

A spectacular view out to the mountains from our room. Very clean and only a couple of Kms walk from the train station. The village had a reasonably priced kebab place and there was a small supermarket. We only stayed one night but it suited our needs. I didn't realise it was also some sort of sports training facility with young people boarding. This wasn't bad, it was just different and not quite what I expected. It would obviously be popular in ski season.
