When had 2 rooms for the weekend. One room was fine, no issues. One room wasn't clean out properly. No dish soap and toilet paper, that was the least of my worries. Kitchen was alright, not enough dishes to use. The bathroom wasn't clean out; shower curtain smell so bad that I had to ask them to replace it and it helped a bit. They need to replace the outside shower curtain too! There was dead bugs in the bathroom. Breakfast was fine, just grab and go food. Staff was friendly. DEFINITELY need to update everything!

Front desk lady very rude and condescending to customers. The only her guy was clearly uncomfortable working with her. Almost seemed afraid of her. Lots of homeless people around property. Hallways smelled like cigarettes. Emergency exit blocked. Room dirty, especially bathroom.. random people’s hair everywhere dirty a huge cockroach crawled on my son’s foot while he was sitting on the toilet. Dead not secured flipped up, and my husband fell on the floor when he sat on the end of it very uncomfortable.

When I first showed up and spoke with the receptionist, she was amazing. She was super sweet and helpful. I have no complaints there but once I got to my room it smelled horrible like musty or rotten sewer smell. I turned the shower on and got nothing but cold water and not a high enough pressure to be willing to shower. The other problem was the bed definitely needs to be replaced. I struggled to sleep and woke up multiple times not only from the bed but also the noise you can hear from the hallway. The doors are definitely not sound proof at all. Overall honestly I would not stay there again.

Exceptional

Rooms have aged over the years and the entire hotel just looks in need of an upgrade. And the hotel charged us $95 even though we paid through expedia. Not a great experience.
-
Location, and room amenities. Carpets needed shampooed, no housekeeping unless requested.

Property is out of date but clean. Was ok for one night but wouldn’t stay for very long.
-
A kitchenette that I could use reasonably well.

The management was very helpful. I wish sometimes there were more handicap spots outside as well as I wish there were more handicap rooms. Recently, I rented a room and it lacked some of the handicap capabilities that I was looking for to stay. LL is still my favorite Hotel and I look forward to staying again in June.

The hotel is just old and not maintained. Needs a remodel

The staff was extremely nice and supportive. The parking lot had multiple transients and people were sitting in cars. The security guard was sitting by the front door and not fully engaged with surveilling the lot. It did not feel entirely safe and was there with a colleague and my daughter. There was a situation upon arriving where a gentleman and his son was given a room key that was already occupied, so that was the last red flag for me.

I parked 3 days in their handicapped parking lot right in front of the hotel entry. I walked by the staff with a cane for 3 days. I did not have an ADA room. Upon checking out, there wasn't a luggage cart to use (it was there at check-in, but that was THE ONLY TIME I saw it). The person I checked-in with was in the hospital. I was alone with no help to take luggage and things out to the car. Load after load, staff watched me struggle to get things out of the room and loaded. By the 4th load, I was using tables in the lobby to put things on while I rested (in front of hotel staff). When I was done I was in so much pain, I was physically ill. It is now 3 days later and still in pain. I thought hotels were in the hospitality business. Side note, the room was not cleaned at any time during our three day stay. I would have at least expected garbage emptied, towels and coffee supplies replaced. Expect to have a nice large room but that is it.

We had done the booking for two nights and had called the hotel directly few days before to inform that even though we are paying for two nights, we will check in next day at 11 am, not 3pm at the day of check in. This is because we were going to drive 7 hours, and reaching here due my daughter and is to dress up for UC Davis graduation starring at 2.30 pm. Unfortunately my reservation was canceled and room was given to someone else, with no information or call. The reason we got was that we did not prepay, but how should we know the rules. Anyways, front desk Mary helped us a lot and gave us rooms within half hour after cleaning the rooms. Rooms and amenities were as described though building is old. Great location and plenty of stores around. Will stay again, but will have to be careful of reservation.
