GrandStay Residential Suites Hotel - Saint Cloud

To be fair, wasn't the front desk persons fault. The same person working the front desk at 10 p.m. Saturday night was the same person working at 7 a.m. the next morning when I came back from my walk and same person working at 10 a.m. when I check out with kids. Poor lady worked all night and was covering front desk and breakfast. Seems hotel wants to charge full service rates while only paying one staff member to work 12 plus hours.

Place is understaffed and in need of cleaning and maintenance. Staff appears overworked and in need of training. Poor follow-up by the management.

Breakfast was very picked over at 9:15. Breakfast went 6-10. A guest went and asked for food while we sat there waiting for someone to check the breakfast items. Only disappointment of the stay. Only put out minimal amount of food. Many guests came and looked and left😞

The bathroom was really gross smelling like sour shower curtain. Look like black mold in the shower. The living room furniture I didn’t even want to sit on because they had stuff all over them otherwise it was OK.

The local traffic noise made it dulifficult to sleep. That accompanied with a loud a/c and a bed that had a dip in the middle. There was no t.p. in the bathroom. At breakfast, there wasn't enough silverware and the ran out of gravy for biscuits and gravy. The batter for waffles was watered down and left a pile of mush.

Nice and comfortable hotel

Room was rundown; kitchen floor was peeling up. Shower tub was clogged, took 2 days to resolve. Toilet seat broke while staying, and was never replaced. Front desk staff never at desk, always had to press a call button to receive assistance. Front desk not very friendly, greeted with "Yes" instead of "Hello" when I stopped to ask about our service requests, it seemed like coming to out to front desk was a bother to them.

When it was time to check in, I rang the buzzer and called for 10-15 minutes for someone to answer the desk. I gave up and went to dinner. Came back an hour later, had to ring again to get someone to answer the desk.

Friendly Nothing

Breakfast was adequate at best. Room was clean. Only one desk clerk had an unfriendly attitude. The air conditioner in our room sounded like a rumbling rhinoceros while it was attempting to turn on. Otherwise things were ok.

The room was clean. the beds comfortable. water pressure was good. The breakfast was poor. Many condiments ran out and were not replaced. There was a large spill near the waffle machine that was there over 2 hours and never was cleaned up. No receipt available on checkout.

Unfortunately, we also found a tick in our bathroom, and the pull-out couch in our room was badly damaged and torn. Because of these issues, we contacted the booking site shortly after checking in to explain the situation and let them know we did not feel comfortable staying. In all my years of booking hotels through this site, this was one of the most disappointing experiences I have had. Based on the condition of the property and our experience during our short time there, I would not recommend this hotel.

The property was fine, the plants at the front door were in dire need of tending.

The rooms were really outdated , could only watch tv in the bedroom ... the living room tv was too dark . The breakfast was terrible . I stay at a lot of hotels for my job! I wouldn't stay here again

The staff was friendly and very helpful when the air conditioning in our room went out. Hotel could use updating. Breakfast was lacking in good food and needs a separate kitchen person . Poor people working the desk had to tend to food as well as the customers coming and going. I’ve stayed here before and probably will again. Just needs some updating and a few improvements.

The room was not cleaned when I cam to check in after 3:00pm. They did only half a job when they did come to change the sheets and perhaps do a quick wipe down. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher and no soap packets. did bring some when requested. Tear in carpet edge by kitchen where I almost tripped several times. Room arrangement were good. Enjoyed having a chair and ottoman plus couch to sit on and relax. Breakfast was very meager and not hot. Some supplies were missing.
