Angela was an exceptional host and person. She was very helpful and found solutions to our inquiries. She is very proactive and nice!

The pillows were very thin and hard. Suggest replacing them.

Great location.walkable to both train and ferry .Andrea was great as a hostess. She gave us very clear direction on keys etc. She also gave us good tips on how to get places. Breakfast was wonderful too Wifi was not consistent. But in most towns with old buildings this is the case .

Price was right. Location is close to city center. Angela was very responsive. Room A/C worked great. We stayed one night and left for Ferry boat docks before breakfast was served; however, Angela made arrangements for us to have complimentary coffee and croissants at the Dolce shop across the street which opens at 730am. Everyone was very nice. We loved Trattoria a Sud which was a quick 5 minute walk away. Walking from train station was about 10 minutes. Walking to ferry docks was also about 10 minutes. The town. For those of you who are "tourists" and traveling on to other locations, just know that Salerno city center was a bit lacking. It certainly didn't seem like a destination location. But,... for a brief stop-over before heading on to the Almalfi coast,... it worked for us. Granted, our experience was only walking from the train station to the hotel and then down along the historic city center and then to ferry docks.

The housekeeper Angela was very friendly and helped me a lot

Breakfast was good. The host prepared quite a variety of cakes. There were fried eggs, fruits, cereals and cappuccino. Location was good, near the city centre. The host keeps a surveillance on the entrance and common area. On the evening of our arrival we could not find any pots to warm our food. The host spoke through the microphone to keep a tab. We felt encroachment to our privacy. The lift was not working but thankfully we were able to get some help from a neighbor. Next morning when we met the host she apologized for the same and was helpful during breakfast and shared information about the city.

It's important to understand, this is a guest house, not a full service hotel. The room was a little small, but clean. The bathroom was great, well laid out. The location is great, we stayed 4 nights and easily walked back and forth to the train station for day trips and with luggage. It's a block slightly uphill from a main pedestrian street with plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. The waterfront pedestrian walkway is an easy few blocks away. Angela, the host was very responsive and helpful. She had great restaurant recommendations for us. At breakfast she was very attentive. The breakfast selection was fine, including some home made baked goods that were great. I would recommend this place if you want a comfortable stay with good value in a great location - perfect base for lots of sightseeing. The breakfast room is very tight, although Angela does her best to set up the tables as best as she can. The breakfast area isn't supposed to be used for a general seating area during the day, so there's no extra public seating space. That wasn't really a problem for us since we were out touring most of the day. The bed was a little too firm for me, a thicker mattress pad or mattress topper would have been a nice addition.

We actually stayed here for 4 nights (see my other review). We had 2 separate reservations but our host Angela was able to combine them so we didn't have to move during our stay. Angela was very helpful throughout our stay and made it a wonderful, great value base for touring the area.

Our host Angela was very friendly and helpful in every way and we had the best breakfast there on the hole trip!

Comfortable room with private bath in Salerno business area. The host was very responsive and prepared a delicious breakfast buffet each morning and assisted us with dining reservations, parking recommendations etc.

The hostess Angela was the best part of the stay!We had a bit of trouble with the parking. She was so friendly and helpful plus she made the best fried eggs! The location wasn’t bad except for accessing with a car and then parking. Angela steered us to a good parking lot.

Location was perfect to get anywhere in town easily! The apartment was spotless and roomy. Angela, the owner and operator was phenomenal! She stayed up very late to ensure we got into our room the first night. Her breakfasts were amazing! Her communication was excellent and speedy! She was super helpful when we had questions about Salerno. She is alone worth the stay! I would only say I agree with others who mentioned pillows, they do need to be replaced. Salerno is so lovely and a great and safe place in which to see this region of Italy! Highly recommend Holiday Guesthouse! Pillows were our only issue.

The breakfast was fabulous each day. There was nothing we didn’t like.

Angela was a wonderful host. Friendly and helpful. Place is conveniently within walking distance of shops, restaurants, ferry, coast, and historic area. Very comfortable. If you arrive after 12:00 pm you need to look at the email from her to enter. You enter the number followed by a hash, #, to gain entrance. We were confused because we did not read the email. It is straightforward.

Excellent free breakfast. Very clean and easy to communicate with staff about check-in check out. It’s in the city, so there is some city noise at night.
-
Very cool place. Clean and the host was amzing! Breakfast in the morning was phenomenal! No elevator to our room with big luggage it wasn’t fun taking the stairs. However this was advertised in the booking.
