B&B Bailardo

Perfect location, at 2 minutes walk to the end of the bus line that takes you all over the Amalfi Coast. This was very useful, since the buses are usually very crowded. Free watter and fruits available in the common kitchen. Italian breakfast available at a nearby coffee shop (one coffee + one pastey only, do not expect a continental breakfast) Not very far from old town and the tourist port (20 minutes walk). Grocery shops in the proximity. Staff very friendly and helpful. The furniture was old and worn out, not very nice. This is not something we expected, because in the photos the light was very dim and it hides this inconvenient. The bed was very unstable, when one person changed their position in sleep, the whole bed moved and it was impossible not to wake up the other one. It should definitely be replaced.

The break was simple but very good, the snacks were very pleasant, the room was amazing, clean and cozy. Very well located. Lacking a working stove or microwave oven in the kitchen

The bed was super comfy and the shower was great. Everything was clean. Hairdryer and mini soap and shower shampoo provided. Fridge in room if you wanted it. Electric shutters and a little inner courtyard balcony. Great wifi and air con. Coffee machine & kettle in the kitchen if you want, although you can't cook there. Signore Atillio who checked me in was lovely. Location was good; I was able to walk everywhere. 10mins to train station, 10mins to Piazza concordia to get the boat to Amalfi, longer walk to old town but a lovely walk along the lungomare. On the 4th floor, but there's a lift. Bar for breakfast was 2 mins from the b&b and the staff were lovely and the pastries were good! Loved it and would stay there again. Shampoo and soap dispensers might be a good idea rather than the single use packages. Air con was a little too noisy outside (maybe just a maintenance thing) for me, but it was an issue only one night it was very warm and as I'm a light sleeper.

The B&b is not far from the railway station, the rooms are really comfortable, the staff is kind and helpful. Good price too

The host and his son are both very friendly, polite and available. They made our stay effortless and were flexible around our needs, as well as quick to reply to our queries. The property is ideally located for access from the railway. Although the historic city centre is a bit far, the walk to get there is through a very nice touristic boulevard. The surroundings of the property are perhaps a bit soulless but also quiet and safe. The fittings are modern and the rooms airy. The Wi-Fi is great too. Perfect black out blinds. The LED lighting in my room was a bit dated and not working properly. The kitchen is communal and the soundproofing of the doorways is not excellent, so I was woken up by other guests making noise in the kitchen on a couple of occasions.

One of the best hosts and apartments! Couldn't find any negative comments about this place! Special thanks to the hosts, Eugenio and Attilio, for everything they provided for us. Early check-in, comfortable and clean rooms, daily fresh fruit and juice from the host, coffee and tea always available, perfect location next to the train station and bus stop to Amalfi. Attilio welcomed us with courtesy, he was very sweet, helpful, hospitable and explained everything to us even though he did not speak English :) I have already recommended this apartment to my friend who is planning a trip to Amalfi. If we come back to Salerno we would definitely choose Bailardo.

Eugenio and Attillio were very attentive to our needs. The location was handy for bus and rail. The use of a kitchen gave it an extra dimension.
