The location was very quiet. It was spacious - effectively you are renting an apartment with either one or both bedrooms. No one else will be there - it’s all yours. Breakfast at the cafe 50m away was lovely. The bus station is literally 7 minutes walk, once you’ve found your bearings, and the train station is an easy walk too if you can’t be bothered to wait for the bus! Pharmacy and supermarket within metres!

Excellent location nice and quiet street 10 minutes walk from train station and 5 minutes to bus station for Amalfi. I like it all.

Everything was perfect,clean and comfy. We had everything we need, and the breakfast was great. Neighborhood is quite and safe. Owner was very nice and helpful for visit tours. I recommend this place to everyone!

Our stay at the La Nuova Cittadella in Salerno Italy from June 16-21 2023 was great. Francesco picked us up at the Salerno train station and drove us to the B&B location. We were the only guests staying at the B&B so it was nice to have the place to ourselves. Francesco was attentive and answering all my inquiries I sent him in Whatsapp. He gave great recommendations on ferry and train options for sites we wanted to see during our stay. The bathroom is separate from the bedroom so this can be a positive or negative item for you. I liked that it was separated so the room stayed fresh and no odours came in the bedroom. If there were other guests in the other room you might cross path with them in the hallway so that might be a bit awkward for some people. The room is spacious, bed was comfortable, there is a mini fridge that the host suppled some bottle waters for our arrival (nice touch). Plus, the place had air conditioning which helped since the weather was warm. The B&B is located near the Marina and the Salerno train station which made it quite simple and easy to walk everywhere. There are 2 grocery stores near by but Sole has more affordable options. Breakfast was provided by Emilio and his wife who were so kind and accommodating. Coffee was great and the croissant/pastry options were delicious. If you are looking for a safe, clean and good location as a base in Salerno Italy to site see the Amalfi Coast (Salerno, Amalfi, Positano, Capri and Pompeii) this is a great affordable option since it is close to the ferry and train station. Pro or con depends on the person Bathroom separate room in the hallway which I actually prefer
