Romantica Salerno

The location is perfect. Very close to restaurants, shops and the sea. The room is very big and comfortable. Everything was very clean and the staff is very kind. You can prepare tea or coffee in the kitchen Everything was perfect!

It was a 4th floor dump - I didn't even stay there, left and went elsewhere

Bathroom was beautiful. If you can get over the dank alleyway it was in, the location was otherwise amazing. The breakfast was great and by far the best part. Room did not look like the photos. The check in process wasted half an hour of our time. The air freshener smelled awful and I couldn’t turn it off. There was blood smeared on the inside door of the elevator on the main floor. They turned off the air conditioner I intentionally left on.

The place was in a very good location and is very quiet making easy to sleep. We probably ended up in the smallest and least well-maintained room of the property. It could have been cleaner, but it wasn’t dirty — just not spotless. Some details could have been taken better care of: for example, the mini fridge in the room didn’t work, the towel rack kept falling off the wall when we tried to hang towels, and unfortunately, the window looked out onto an unappealing inner courtyard. I imagine the other rooms must be better, as I’ve seen more positive reviews — we were probably just unlucky with this one.

Excellent location, one street far from the sea, a few blocks away from the restaurants and a private parking Big bathroom, very good communication with the kind staff Taking into account that the majority of renting properties in Salerno are Bed & Breakfast, this is a very good choice

The room is very spacious and clean. The bed is also quite comfortable. Heating worked well when I was there. There is a very large spa in this room but no way to have a shower without holding the shower head by hand which I found bizarre. No kettle to boil water, only a microwave. My low score is predominantly related to the fact that no less than 4 times I requested a receipt for cash payment of services and despite all three family members telling me they would provide one (the father, mother and daughter) they never did. I chased this at payment, then twice the following day and then a week later. Each time they promised they would send it but never did. I even specified that I was going on leave and needed the receipt for my end of year accounting. The last contact I had with them was that they promised they would send me the receipt that day but of course it was never sent. If you choose to deal with this family, I would strongly advise not to pay them cash.

Light and bright Close to main centre Sheets were small for the bed. Linen was quite old Shower rose did not have a wall mount Air freshener was nice but very overpowering at night. Difficulty in meeting host to get access to property. No electric jug in kitchen Microwave was ancient!

Not much. It was only after our next B&B stay that I fully realised how poor this place was. It’s not a B&B really, it’s an Airbnb with a coffee & croissant for breakfast at the coffee shop across the road. Quite a lot as mentioned above.

The host was fantastic—kind, professional, and made the check-in process smooth and quick. We especially appreciated the early check-in at 11:00. The location was excellent, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good.

Balconies with drying racks. Excellent location to restaurants and proximity to the sea. Generous bathroom facilities. Easy walk from the Salerno train station. Discovering hairs in our bed sheets.

Guieseppe was a good welcome otherwise I don’t think we’d have found the place! The apartment was very tidy and the room cleaned both days we stayed. The view from the room was poor, and very overlooked. The bed squeaked every time I moved and I didn’t sleep well because of it. The room was noisy until around 2am but that’s because it was San Matteo feast - so nothing the hosts could do about it.

We would have probably liked a bit more choice in the breakfast and maybe a kettle in the kitchen for a cup of tea. Saying that the location is perfect. Ideal for ferries and a 10 min to train station. The rooms comfortable and clean. Close to a choice of restaurants. Definitely the check in because it’s done remotely. We arrived at 12.30pm. But we were told we couldn't check in until 3.15. The hosts were 20 mins after this time. Which rather worried us.

Located right in the heart of Salerno near shopping and restaurants, walking distance to esplanade and train station. Very clean and quiet, bed comfy, shower not too small! Everything was fine

excellent location it takes time to find parking space on the street. it cost 2 euro for 1 hour from 8AM - 3AM (the machine know to calculate untill the next morning). the host suggested to take the car to his parking place for 20 euro and bring the car when the guest need it.
