Better cleaning and better TV service.

The staff at the reception desk were not very friendly or welcoming. They did not smile, and had like a cold reception about them. In the morning when I arrived for, even though there was a person at the desk, they did not bother to say good morning or see if you needed anything. I noticed that was the same they were with ever other family or person staying at the hotel. They were on their phones texting. In most hotels I have stayed the staff is pretty receptive asking if you need anything and making you feel welcomed. This will probably be the last time I stay there. Will go somewhere else where I feel more appreciated and welcomed.

Everything in the room worked, but the price was outrageous ($400+ per night) during Monterey car week, the room was small, and the freeway only about 50 yards from our room (very close--had to wear ear plugs to sleep) though rooms on the street side probably would be much quieter. Free coffee in the morning and minimal breakfast but no guest laundry.

Breakfast bananas were so green they were imposable to eat!

Disappointing

I parked my vehicle in front of my room and someone hit it and now I have to replace my bumper. The hotel did not have video because the cameras are not working properly. I don’t know who to contact other than the police to get a report to file an insurance claim. Very disappointed in the place and the security videos that couldn’t tell me who did it.

Lady at check in was rude, but redeemed herself later when we needed help with our TV. Pool not in service. Breakfast options very limited with only bread, cereal, packaged oatmeal, granola bars, and yogurt available. Disappointing. Room not bad. No fitness room. Okay for price.

Staff could be more welcoming. They look like they hate their job and it shows. You need more information at this Super 8 than any other I’ve stayed at. Breakfast is a joke, it’s a glorified snack at best.

Overall property was great stop. Room clean, towels good condition. My only complaints, hot water for shower is lost after 9:30 am, breakfast was minimal(2 cereals, coffee(no flavored creamer), and what little they had goes fast with full complement of guests. A lot of traffic but simmers down about 9pm. Otherwise a nice place. I would stay again
