The only correspondence I received was to check in at the South Temple location The property told me to go to the 5th street location where I could get a room. I checked Google and they said that the property often relocates people with reservations to the 5th street location when they don't have many reservations at the South Temple location. When we arrived we were told to pick a more inferior room. At that point we had no other choice but to select the inferior room. Upon check out I was told that I could get 30% off a future stay. I live in Colorado and that was a useless discount. Extremely disappointed.

The shower head was seven or eight feet above the tub. By the time the water got to us, it was all spread out and difficult to rinse off the soap. It looked cool but wasn't that great. The dude who checked us in was extremely friendly and did a great job. The breakfast was very good! Everything else was satisfactory, but nothing special. I would stay there again but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to schedule it.

It is a neat historical building. Breakfast order is taken at check in and delivered hot directly to your room at a time you choose with some lovely options. Checkout is noon which lets you enjoy the morning without feeling rushed out. Tiny fridge. Shower is a bit awkward over the giant tub.

Beautiful room with lush sheets, bedding, and towels. Gorgeous fireplace added to the room's romance.

Everything was great except our room was down some stairs, and the lights at the bottom where the room was were out. There was a step that you could not see, myself, husband, and the people in the room next to ours, all miss stepped. Could have caused major injuries. Maybe a lamp would have helped?

It was super nice, vintage. The room was incredible and clean. Nothing

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast brought to your room in the morning.

The building is nice (historic property), and the decor was playful and well done. The food was good, and the staff were very helpful. The recommendations I have are to change the carpet and install some kind of scent ambience, because the age of the building shows a bit.

Super cute 100+ year old building. Helpful staff. Really lovely included breakfast. Delightfully novel themed rooms. Comfortable beds. Free parking. Convenient location without being downtown. The room I stayed in didn't have its own climate control. I did find a really nice portable heater in the closet, but my challenge was the room was too warm for my liking and I had no way of cooling the room. Its a 100+ year old building, so there are some quirks that need to be accommodated, just FYI

This place is a scam. The room we had cost $354.00 and was a small attic, with old cheap jungle stuff lying around. No AC, No windows that opened, and one window you can look out, nothing like the pictures showed, NOTHING. Breakfast was 45min late, in the morning we could not find anyone who we could speak with, that didn't need a translator app. This felt like a room where a John would take their trick, except as expensive as the Grand America. Horrible place.

Breakfast was rubbish and pretty well inedible. As we arrived we watched 2 x 20 something year olds struggle with their room door on the ground floor. We, 2x 79+ years old were allocated a room on the top floor nearly 40 steps up over 4 flights of stairs. The receptionist helped with the luggage but one with a dicky heart and one with a bad knee we were still struggling. The receptionist did try and find us a more suitable room but with no elevator that was not to be. He brought the luggage upto the room and left us there. The room was an exercise in how to use space badly, The bath was designed to take a mid-teens elephant with keeper operated controls which were not explained to us so we couldn't use the shower and we had to rely on the wash basin. The bed was jammed on a corner. There was no room left for a decent size table. The exit signage was so poor that at my first attempt I took the fire escape stairs instead of the internal stairs and ended up at a locked fire exit door. There was no way I saw signposted to exit (shades of Towering Inferno!). And I had to go back to the top floor to finally find my way down by another staircase. The room window was filthy that one couldn't see out. More over the wall under the window was so thin that the traffic noise was like sleeping at sidewalk level under the traffic lights, until well after midnight. And, of course it started back up again first thing on the morning. Pretty well everything.

    BAD

I stayed in the Mysteries of Egypt room. It was incredible. The shower is a cobra. Breakfast delivered to my room with a knock. This place is amazing. The front desk person Erin opened the rooms that weren’t occupied for me so I could see the different themes. It was awesome! N/A

    but everything else was great

  • Engine customer Apr 2026

The property is really neat with the different themed rooms. Overall, the hotel was great. But our shower kept the faucet running, so showering just wasted a ton of water. Our bathroom was an outhouse. For some reason, they cut a moon into the door and not cover it. You can look into the toilet while your SO uses it. Otherwise, it’s in a good location and really cute.

Very friendly staff, Very comfortable room and bed. The themed rooms are so fun! Breakfast delivered to our room!! What a nice surprise.

Nice building and great room 1-Waited 40 minutes to check in as the staff was away 2-Misleading room description on booking.com (booking.com or property issue): there is no view of garden and pool. The room is underground! Nice though 3-Double payment though I hope it will be resolved soon
