The lobby area is impressive upon entry with it's historic decor/character, the receptionist(s) were all very welcoming and helpful. The room was smaller than expected but given the historical nature of the hotel's architecture, understandable. The room was tasteful and the bed and linens and were very nice and comfortable. It was over 100 degrees when we were there so the iced water with lemon in the lobby was very much appreciated! Location is convenient for sightseeing, restaurants and other typical downtown activities by foot. The hotel, although historic, felt tired and in need of updating. We noticed an odd sewer (?) smell near the elevator in the lobby and the 2nd level landing area (noticed a plug in scent machine so they must be aware of this issue). Confusing where to initially pull up for check-in as there is no valet to greet or direct so you need to park in the parking lot behind the hotel using a payment kiosk $30. Squeaky floors and water dripping from the bathtub faucet were a bit annoying.

I loved that the ice dispenser was a pebble ice but could also dispense water and made filling water bottles extremely convenient! The bathroom was a bit dim on the evening to shower and the shower faucet handle was a bit damaged, but it still worked and wasn't a major issue. I didn't know that the property was considered one of the most haunted hotels in Utah when booking but between finding that out as well as all the really cool historical elements and artifacts in the hotel, it made what was going to be a pretty uneventful stay with a teenager just a bit more fun. I would for sure stay here again in the future.

Great location. Staff was extremely helpful as we had a flight delay. The hotel was beautiful. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.

Great experience! Great location and staff! Highly recommend going to Eggsburgh (the breakfast restaurant attached to the hotel)! It is delicious and half the reason we booked there!

Bathroom and toilet set up was awkwardly small.

Apparently I like the quaint, little gems of hotels and this one is no exception. Cute and well maintained. There is a "speak easy" type of door to the bar and I just loved that. Cool it is proclaimed to be "haunted". I slept great and wills stay there in the future.

Central location for a brief stop passing through SLC. Paid parking without security.

Overhyped old hotel, and not worth the money.

Ashley at the front desk was the best! She had solid recommendations for places to check out, very knowledgeable of the property and history. She was very accommodating and kind!

Such a cute hotel! We really enjoyed the vibe. The only downsides were that there was no parking available, and our AC wasn’t the strongest. We imagine because it was incredibly hot, and the building was relatively old. Regardless, would stay their again.

Location was excellent. We could walk to most everything. (Dining and Music venue)We’re also able to park next-door. everything was clean and top-notch -Really good smell!!really enjoyed the vintage atmosphere. also the staff was great! Especially Joey, who helped a lot.Loved being able to bring our pet Pomeranian! We had a king size bed, and the room was a little tight with all our stuff-for the price. But we certainly didn’t not want to pay more for an upgrade.

Room was extremely hot! Bathroom products were not full.
