Lovely place to stay with the kindest and friendliest hosts. Great breakfast to set you up for the day. Comfy and clean bedroom with all the little touches, tea and coffee with fresh milk. Toiletries and bath robes. Nothing

The host Julie was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. She was able to answer all out questions and gave us local knowledge about the surrounding area.

Julie couldn’t have done more for us, so many little extras all of which went to make our stay really wonderful. The breakfasts were superb. Tea, coffee, biscuits and sweets were in our room too. It was my birthday on one of the days and I was even given a card with a chocolate cake complete with candle. Nothing, it couldn’t have been better

Good bus service in a wonderful stretch of countryside. Best of all, the weather was wonderful. Julie is a welcoming and very pleasant host. We were in an attic room that was very hot and stuffy initially. We slept badly the first night because of that and the noise of traffic from the busy road.

We cannot praise Julie highly enough. Everything was perfect and Julie and her husband are fantastic hosts. The breakfast, with so many choices and cooked so excellently has to be the best anywhere. Thank you. Nothing

Townend farm was well situated. We received a great welcome. The ensuite accommodation was very well maintained. It was light, airey & had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfasts were exceptional & our host was happy to make a couple of additions when requested. We received very useful suggestions & recommendations about the local area. Would definitely recommend this B&B. Nothing

It was clean and beautifully presented. Our room was spotless and the shampoo and shower gel were Molton Brown, a lovely tray of teas/coffees/biscuits were our and soft, thick towels. Absolutely lovely. A lot of attention had been paid to decoration and the white woodwork and walls just added to the appeal. There were two flights of stairs up to the rooms, but I already knew about this, so wasn’t surprised, my friend, who doesn’t walk well found it a challenge, but she doesn’t like me to add her disability to anything we book and she coped slowly but admirably and has said she would happily go again.

Easy to find. Wonderfull welcoming by Julie. Good breakfast. Enough tips for travel and walking in the area. Nice view from our window. Bus stop to Whitby very near. The bed was a bit small.

It was clean, very friendly. There was plenty to choose from for breakfast. Nice area. I pub right across the road where you could get an nice evening meal.

Our visit to Townend Farm was excellent. Our host Julie gave us a warm welcome. She was very helpful with advice about the local area. She helped us with the local bus timetable even printing out the times. Also gave us good advice where to eat. The room was very clean and we had a great view from out of our window. The breakfast was excellent. So we loved everything, we had a very relaxing stay and would love to come back!
