The pool and garden were great. The bathroom probably needed some cosmetic updates, but not a deal breaker.

The beach and town could be cleaner . Too much plastic and rubbish on the streets

Lovely bungalows just next to the beach; located in a safe green gated property. The host and hostess were so nice and helpful. We had some fantastic conversations with them. Great WiFi, a nice pool and comfortable beds are among the great features of this property

We stayed at Jardin D'Afrique for 2 weeks and used it as a base to relax in between exploring the region. It was absolutely perfect. Patrice is the perfect host, attentive when needed, and did everything possible to make our stay a memorable one. We stayed in Le Baobab cottage and it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The garden is beautiful and is visited by exotic birds throughout the day, with black kites flying above. There is a good sized swimming pool. All perfect for our rest days. Jardin D'Afrique is a couple of minutes walk away from the beach. The beautiful Safari Beach to the right and an area used by local fishermen to the left. There are pelicans, African Darters, herons, pied crows, black kites and terns going about their business all along the shore. There are some great restaurants on the beach - we particularly liked the O’Yace Beach restaurant, just past the fisherman's area. Saly town centre is 5 minutes walk and has supermarkets, restaurants (some with live music), banks and local shops. The area feels safe, with local people going about their daily business. We used Patrice's network of contacts for our days out. Mamadou took us on his pirogue to see the fishing fleet at Mbour. Ibrahima drove us the nature reserves and Isle de Goree in his taxi and was considerate and kind. Ahmet who kept watch on the premises at night, was a lovely, calming presence, and Moussa the gardener was friendly and considerate. We loved our stay at Jardin' D'Afrique and felt genuinely sorry when we had to leave and return to England. Everything was excellent. We liked everything about the garden, the accommodation, the staff, and the host. The location is perfect for exploring Saly and the region.

Patrice - the owner - was really nice and made us feel welcome. All the staff was friendly and we totally felt safe and well treated. The house is well equipped. We could have stayed there for a couple more days. We had to leave too early ?
