Hotel Gasthof Brandstätter

A rare find.. A family run hotel with high end service and dining experiences forged from generations of family values. Great location on the outskirts of the city, with free bus tickets and a 15 min ride to the old town. The hotel is a traditional building with a lovely spa across 2 levels, outdoor dining, seating and spa relax areas provided shaded tranquil areas to unwind and enjoy drinks. The owners and staff were just lovely creating a wonderful environment. We booked last minute as on a road trip and had one of two rooms not yet supplied with air conditioning. Our room was traditional and would have been very comfortable were it not for the heat in the room. With hight temps across europe during our stay the room was “sweaty” causing a lack of sleep unfortunately. The hotel was fully booked and the hotel owner and staff had placed a large tower fan in the room, this helped a little but recommend guests opt for a room with air conditioning if visiting for the summer. That said we will return to visit more of the city and we would have no hesitation in staying at this lovely hotel agajn.

Lovely authentic feel to the hotel. Very welcoming and helpful staff with good English. The room was well-designed and spacious. Although the hotel was quite a way from the centre, the free bus pass made it very easy to get into town. The evening meal we had was incredible. Nothing!

Great food, helpful staff, common areas like pool, garden and reading room were nice, quiet and super clean ! Love the traditional design and architecture!. Lent me an adapter to charge my phone - yay! Bed is too low! Furniture in the room was outdated and barely functional. I spent very nice times in the common areas in part because I just not feeling the room was comfortable for me.

Nice location, cozy, clean room. Confusing on navigation apps, every driver had to take a U-turn and took extra time. But again, not the hotel’s fault.

Beautiful garden, exceptional service, comfortable and well appointed rooms. Best breakfast of our entire trip to Europe!

I loved the Austrian decor and dress, enjoyed the very friendly and professional staff, authentic Austrian cuisine, and the modern amenities including the infinity pool. Absolutely restful and exceeded my expectations!

The hotel is a perfect oasis in a city. The No 4 bus outside the door with a free bus pass from the hotel made it ideal for exploring while also staying in a unique hotel with indoor pool and beautiful gardens for relaxing in Everything was ok

Highly recommended! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is beautiful, cozy, and very comfortable. The breakfast and food were excellent, the facilities were great, and the pool was fantastic. The staff were absolutely amazing—friendly, polite, professional, and always helpful. Everything exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very nice atmosphere to this century old Austrian hotel. Feels like stepping back in history. Despite it being older, it is very clean and well maintained. Good view of the mountains and a nice breakfast. Nice pool. Staff was very helpful too. Nice neighborhood to take a quiet evening walk for when you want to relax from the business of the tourist areas.

Boutique hotel for a chain hotel price. Very stylish, great amenities, great staff. There are few rooms, so each guest feels well looked after. I cannot wait to stay again. Honestly, I'd live there if I could :) The breakfast buffet was a little bit of a let down in terms of selection. But I wouldn't deduct the overall score for this.

Everything. The entire property is well thought out - from the natural spring water to the originality of the rooms. The pool and sauna are a plus!
