The location was great, and the room was very clean. I also loved the balcony overlooking the lake. The rooms were kind of hot. Having AC and screens for the windows/door (to keep mosquitoes out) would be nice. Or at least an overhead or second fan would help.

Incredibly friendly staff! The hotel was dated, with many stairs and no elevator, and we were placed on the top floor with 2 heavy suitcases. The bathroom was ridiculous, with the toilet and shower right next to each other, making it possible to use both at the same time given the layout. On the weekend the breakfast was incredibly good and varied, but on Monday less than 20% of what was served over the weekend was available. We paid well over $280 for 3 nights, which was truly outrageous and poor value for what you get. After 3 days we switched to the Tabo cottages next door.

My room was on the first (actually second) floor with the balcony where I could relax watching the mountains and the lake. The pickup and drop off as well as the tour on the island were organized smoothly.

The view from the patio and breakfast was good. Dinner was also very good.

Polite staff and an excellent view of Lake Toba. Tranquil. Had an excellent traditional massage at the pool house as well.

Everything was fine. We did a 30-minute jet ski ride for IDR 900K, arranged by our tour guide. We checked in on New Year’s Eve and the fireworks went on until about 1am, which made it hard to rest after the long trip from Medan. Also worth noting if you’re travelling with elderly family members: the breakfast area is on Level 1 and requires using the stairs (most resorts in Tuk Tuk, Samosir do not have elevators), while the lobby and some rooms are on higher levels. Not a big issue for us, but something to be aware of.

Property was well maintained Staff were very good, polite and helpful Rooms were big and spacious and offering good views of the lake. Location was good with some nice restaurants nearby They offered free Canoeing activity on the lake, it was a good experience There were mosquitoes in the common area, though there weren’t any in the rooms Though bathroom was big but the floor banking was a bit off as the water drain was closer to door, hence the entire bathroom floor would flood after shower. If the shower area was separated, it would have been better.

First room offered was a bit small, but with an upgrade I had a spacious one with a great view over Lake Toba. Clean and modern - a lot of amenities. Staff very helpful, with motorbikes available for rental. Nice pool (last stop on my trip, so I splurged a bit). Nothing

The thing we liked the most was the staff. We have experienced friendly staff in a lot of places, but here people go out of their way to be the friendliest staff possible. Great service, always a smile, thinking with us, giving great tips and recommendations and everyday a great job. Other than that we liked the food, the rooms, the overall service, the location. Would definitely return here. The showers are getting hot, but the pressure is a bit low. Also, it might happen that one person showers, and person 2 doesn't get hot water anymore because the tank is empty (or something like that).

I had to rotate charging, I had a bunch of electronics, there's only one accessible outlet. did not detract from my stay at all

Fantastic location. Lovely rooms. Very good breakfast. But the best thing was the staff. They were great. Very friendly, very helpful, very pleasant. They are a credit to the hotel. Nothing really.
