Beautiful secluded place with lots of amenities around. Excellent experience. Will be back every time I go to san Diego.

The room assigned to us had a portable ac in one room which i find a little bit off since it’s a little bit noisy… the kitchen was soo old and not complete. The toaster was not clean that it ended up triggering the fire alarm but we were able to fan out the smoke. The room itself smells old (mouldy?) even the pillows smells old but the bed were comfy. The staff were nice and friendly.

Room refresh was not done in the morning and took for ever for fresh sheets and clean towels to be replaced.

Exceptional

The first room I stayed in smelled like I was breathing in mold. I had to switch rooms because the smell was so bad. One of the days we were there the water was shut off all day. The front desk staff was rude when asked when the water would be on and handed me two water bottles and said I can take a shower with those. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend staying here!

The water was finally turned on after 7pm. When I checked out I had to ask for some compensation for the water being out for so long. Last time I am staying here.

Shower was moldy and not the cleanest, dresser was unstable drawer kept opening we tried putting something underneath to help even out but didn't help we Made due with and the best out of that we could. Staff was amazing and breakfast was good

Located in a quiet neighborhood and close to freeway. Hotel and staff were pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast waffle machines were a big hit! Only complaint was the bedding we had didn't match the bed because both our king bed and pull out mattresses had short sheets. Pillows had no support. Bedding improvements aside we had no complaints!

Great price if you're in town for Del Mar. The hotel sits on the east side of the I-5 highway, so you're close to Del Mar beach (2 miles), without having to pay Del Mar beach hotel prices. The suites are roomy enough to accommodate travel with kids. The kitchenette is invaluable for the same reason, with fridge, microwave, stove top, plates, and silverware. The complimentary hot breakfast is good (eggs, bacon, waffle maker, etc.) and the hotel sits next to its sister property (Hilton Garden Inn) which has more dining options. There's a coffee roaster (Mostra) across the parking lot. The pool, hot tub, and fitness room are all adequate. The staff are friendly. The rooms are clean, although we found a tennis ball behind the foldout couch. All-in-all, we had a great stay for a great price, given our budget.

I must say that the hotel appears to be older. I was very concerned about the bathroom that showed a lots of what appeared to be black mold in many places. Also most of the containers that held the lotion, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and tissues were empty. I made numerous requests from the front desk staff to have them refilled. Each time the staff said that someone would take care of it, but it was never taken care of. For many years I have stayed in Marriott properties and other hotels and by far this was my worst experience.

Our room wasn't ready by 4 pm check in time. We were able to check in at 7 pm only. Room was OK but missing basic items( hand soaps, some bedding, kitchenware was only for 3 people not 5 as we booked). Shortly we learned that kitchen sink has stoppage and requires maintenance personal to fix it. No need to say that our evening plans that day were completely ruined. The staff was working hard to fix it all, and short staffing is a real issue. Room service is only upon request. Well, I requested it one day in advance, and no room service was provided. We ended up just having new towels delivered by a robot and noone to take wet towels and trash away. Running AC smells like mold so we had to have it off the entire time and windows open just a little bit, so it wasn't enough for air exchange. Laundry facility is very dirty. The washers have mold and dirt inside. Despite of me cleaning them with sanitizing wipes, all my washed clothes smell like mold anyway. Because of the delay in check in and all the inconvenience, we were offered our parking charges to be waived, which is 15$/ day. Upon checking out we were still charged 1 day parking despite of initial promise. And conveniently no manager at the facility to be found to resolves that.
