The staff was really friendly and helpful. Nice economic choice.

We stayed here two nights while scuba diving and had stayed here before. The property is conveniently located with plenty of secure parking. This is a 3 level motel and an elevator is available. The rooms are fairly simple but clean and comfortable. The property is located near the flight line for Miramar naval base, so there are lots of fighter jets noisily flying past all day long (depending on your interests this may be a good or bad thing) but they do not seem to fly at night so it's quiet then. Nothing fancy, but it does represent a very good value and is perfectly acceptable.

It’s an older hotel but well maintained and the staff made our stay pretty easy. Check-in was smooth, so was the check-out. We didn’t use housekeeping during our stay other than just restocking the toiletries, because we prefer privacy. Parking was easy. Location was great, quiet at nights, we were able to get good night sleep. Will stay here again when we are back in this area.

Bed was comfortable. Noise level was tolerable. Pillows were bad. Lots of hot water.

I have stayed here several times as its location is perfect for my needs. I’m not in my hotel room except to sleep. Pleasant Inn is clean, quiet, has security cameras, and safe. The rooms are well maintained. Window a/c does its job. Parking is good but always sees some dullards don’t know how to park between the white lines. The staff have always been helpful.

It was simple, clean, safe, and affordable. A nice alternative to high priced name brands for this trip. I would stay there again.

The bedding was scarce no comforter. The bed was hard there was trash under bed and in eye hole of door.

This place wasn't the cleanest, the beds felt like you were going to fall through them, the people that were in the room next door were loud and we thought they were trying to come into our room! It sounded like they were using a chainsaw or something..... Horrible experience

Unless you care about modern design and fanciness, this is a very good hotel with a reasonable price. My son attend UCSD and this hotel will be my regular place when I visit him.

We always like to stay here when we visit my oldest at UCSD.

Great cleaning staff

We checked in saw that the Hot tub was not working. Went to our room the main curtain would not move up had to roll it up by hand. There is no breakfast buffet only microwaved egg patties and sausage patties and that never changes they do have Waffles and cereal milk juice no buffet tho. Hair dryer didn't work in room they did bring one. No daily room cleaning only every 3 days so if your trash builds up you have to dump it yourself. Will not stay there again.

Its a decent place, especially as we only stayed one night. I'm hesitant to even leave the review because I don't know if it was just our room or if they're all the same, but our issue was how hard the beds were and the pillows were horrible. They're short and thick so we both woke up with headaches and neck aches and I didn't sleep soundly throughout the night. Otherwise, its somewhat nice.
