Orchard Hotel

Room was clean and spacious. Very quiet- minimal street noise aside the occasional cable car bell. Great location that is walkable or an easy hop onto public transit. Many good dining options nearby that are walkable. Staff is friendly and very helpful.

The Orchard Hotel is a quintessentially classic San Francisco hotel. The hotel was nicely decorated, the rooms were clean, the staff was friendly.

The room was usually kept clean, There was a day when it appeared the carpet had not been vacuumed and the waste baskets not emptied. The bathroom has nice tile in the walk-in shower and on the main bathroom floor. Lights on either side of the mirror do an excellent job of illuminating one's face. There however is no night light. Closet space is good with an adequate number of hangers and drawer space in the bottom of the TV cabinet is also good. The bed is comfortable with one relatively heavy cover. It would be nice if it had two lighter weight covers. The air conditioning system was extremely quiet and easy to use. The hotel's Daffodil restaurant serves breakfast in an attractive and quiet space facing Bush street. Most anything that you would want for breakfast is available. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is very central and within a short walking distance to most attractions. It is however located on the side of Nob Hill and the walk up Powell Street from Union Square is pretty steep, especially the last block. So, just be aware.

Spacios, comfortable room. Very nice personal. Location is very good. Outside streets are quite,safe and clean, accourding to common San Francisco situation. Great public transport access. Veru nice hotel at all. Wothout 10 minutes walk plenty of restaurant to choose. It is not about tha hotel, but about high priced car parkings. The cheapest parking we found was 38$ per 24 hours. It was 4 blocks from hotel. It was good, that there is an opportuniry to park at the hotel enter to unload baggage.

My stay here was very good and uneventful.

Breakfast was particularly pleasant---calm & quiet entry into each day with good food, competent service and not outrageous prices.

Location and affordable price. The toilet washroom didn’t flush very well. And there is a foul smell in the washroom not sure if it’s in the pipe or what. I gave a feedback in the front desk that it smells bad in the washroom even if it is clean.

We had a great stay at the Orchard Hotel in July 2026. The location ws great, we were able to walk most of the city. Clean and comfortable.

They are super responsive to needs, via text or in person, and everyone is wonderfully friendly. Warning: the water is SUPER hot (great that you don't have to wait for it to warm up and amazing in the shower, BUT it could catch you off guard for sure.)

I been staying at this hotel since 2010! It’s my home away from Home! It’s what I look forward to every time I visit San Francisco! Always clean, quiet and comfortable. See you next year! NA
