Saratoga Oaks Lodge
About Saratoga Oaks Lodge
Saratoga on the western edge of the Santa Clara Valley is a calm oasis removed from the bustle of the Silicon Valley. The nearby Mountain Winery hosts a variety of world class artists during the summer concert series. Villa Montalvo is also the venue for many concerts plays and social events. We are at the gateway to the scenic Santa Cruz mountain communities of Felton Ben Lomond Boulder Creek and the majestic Big Basin Redwood State Park. Beyond lie the Pacific Ocean cities of Santa Cruz Carmel and Monterey. The Lodge is a smoke-free establishment.

-
Efficient check-in at a great location that was close to hiking and other amenities.
-
Just there for one night . Thought the property was a bit overpriced for what you got.

I was in town with family for my daughter’s graduation. Due to the World Cup, rates at hotels in Santa Clara and San Jose were double the usual. Therefore, I booked a room at this hotel in Saratoga. I love staying here. Prices are reasonable; rooms clean; quiet; comfortable; necessary amenities included; parking available right outside rooms; picturesque setting in a very walkable town.

Super cute, cozy and kitsch. Easy check-in, friendly service.

What seems to be just a sweet motel is so much more! The room is beautiful, has a refrigerator, small freezer, microwave oven, Keurig machine, luxurious towels and bedding, high quality bath amenities in a spacious shower, and many choices for breakfast, including fresh fruit, baked goods, yogurt, hard boiled eggs. I really wished I could have spent at least one more night.

Terrific location in downtown Saratoga, very friendly stuff and lots to do nearby. I have stayed before and gone to the mountain winery events, very easy parking and pleasant stay.

My of three reserved the king suite with sleeper sofa and private patio. The space worked well for our different sleep schedules and we enjoyed eating our takeout dinner on our private patio. The Japanese toilet in our room was a nice surprise. The property overall seems relaxing with lots of leafy garden areas.

This is definitely an old style motel type property, one employee at the desk, outdoor entrances. The room was definitely small, but included a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. The carpet definitely needs replacing and the entire room could use a refurbishing. There were quite a few ants we noticed upon arrival, but nothing major. We were allowed to check in early and check out late with no fee which was great. We only stayed one night. The bed was comfortable. The shower had good water pressure, but like everything I feel the place could use a refresh. Also, the price while probably reasonable for the area, seemed high for the product. Skip the free breakfast and walk to town.

The bad - Carpet in our room was old and dirty, we didn’t feel comfortable walking on it barefoot. Decor is dated. Low end bathroom feels like you are in a cheap motel. Continental breakfast and coffee are not good, no effort to provide anything nice, can’t get a decent coffee. Overall this place is too pricey for what you get, It is located in a very nice neighborhood, and the website and pricing suggest it is a higher end boutique hotel. The level of quality doesn’t match, a missed opportunity in my opinion, I won’t stay here again.

Very nice, quiet and pretty little hotel. Parking right in front of the room. Room was clean and comfortable. There is a free breakfast, but I went out in town instead. Staff was helpful after I left. I had left my prescription glasses in the room. They were found, and will be sent to me. I appreciate it. Hotel is close to places in town.

Parking is easy..short walk to restaurants...great place to stay for concerts at the winery

Cute hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was walkable to a bunch of restaurants and shops.

Unit 25 was a large upgraded room; if you get it, enjoy! Large room, Jacuzzi tub and separate shower that was well lit, bidet toilet that auto opens/close and flushes, a small porch with a cafe table in the morning sun. Mind you, the overall Lodge is still a remodeled motel, so there is some charm in its layout. They’ve done a nice job with the grounds near the back of the property and to make it feel comfortable and well appointed. Continental breakfast is pretty standard stuff, but staff were nice and welcoming and check in and out was easy.

Staff was wonderful The rooms were clean. I would definitely stay there again!

Lovely room - very comfortable

Hard to find, but worth staying in a quiet location away from the Silicon Valley hustle. Rooms were simple and clean, no complaints.
-
Otherwise Rooms were nice, bed was comfy. Parking lot was small but accessible and easy to park. Great location for Saratoga and the Japanese garden right nearby.
