Residence Inn By Marriott Sand City Monterey

Cons: The design and planning of the public access restroom in the lobby is positively awful. Needs a complete redesign with less PC artsy fluff and more utility for guests and their families. Very disappointed in Marriott for letting PC bologna get in the way of basic amenities. Lastly, we stayed in room 269 this time, which was much less pleasant because it was facing the loading dock of the Costco which wouldn’t have mattered except the noise from deliveries in the early morning was very apparent. Will request the 4th floor next trip. Overall still the best hotel experience in Monterey for families. Just please fix that Godawful lobby restroom Marriott. Very cool hotel, great amenities, parking is 15$ per day if you’re staying for 7 days any longer than that it’s free. Great location right by the beach, dog friendly and 1st floor breakfast every morning. We had a great stay!

There may be loud dance music on weekends. Choose room not facing the ocean could be quiet

We loved the size of the room,it was an ADA suite it was the size of a small apartment.

We liked absolutely everything.

The breakfast was average. I had it only one day. It is in sand city out of town. But an Uber ride of between $10-$20 gets you everywhere. Nothing really.

They gave me the wrong room and didn’t tell me. Once I reached my room I called to say it was t the correct one. They eventually said sorry they were out of the ones I booked but they put me on the 4th floor. Which did not make a difference to me. And said I got a free breakfast- but I had already paid for that.

The residence Inn in Seaside California was an amazing stay for us. Large rooms, extremely clean, super friendly staff and very helpful in every way. The location of the property is excellent super close to shopping and steps to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Everything was good, except I found a bed bug on the bed.

Great new modern hotel. Has every amenity you could want. Would highly recommend staying here. Always take pride in where you stay and do your part to keep the place clean.

Event music program is very nice

From the time we checked in to the time we checked out, the team there was exceptional. Shoutout to Jennifer from the lounge who was super busy but gave us her undivided attention. It was super busy due to a line dance party going on at the patio. She was great!!
