ASTARTE HOTEL

I loved EVERYTHING about this hotel! The staff was so very kind, the hotel itself is gorgeous and very clean, quiet and peaceful. The restaurant in the hotel was the best food I've had in all of my trips to Turkey - the chef is a culinary genius! I was actually sad about leaving this place. I will 100% come back to this city just to visit this hotel. I am in love! I disliked that I had to leave to catch my flight ??? Seriously, there was nothing I disliked!

Easily the best breakfast I’ve ever had in Turkey, and perhaps ever.

Great location in old part of town. Nicely renovated. Very nice staff. Was able to park the car with the hotel. Great breakfast. We had some issues with the water lambing in the room which was an inconvenience.

I felt very welcomed at the hotel. The staff was outstanding. When I drove up they took care of my car and always parked for me very nearby. The location was excellent. Nice quiet area but very close to walk to the main market and the areas I wanted to tour. The breakfast was lovely - a full Turkish breakfast (not standard hotel buffet). When I returned from the day - I felt at home, comfortable, and safe. The common areas - lobby and large courtyard were lovely. The rooms were so quiet and nicely appointed. The room overall was a little cramped. The fridge did not seem to work - but I really didn't need it. The lighting in the room was not helpful to read in bed.

They greeted me by name and helped park my car for me. I felt so welcomed and relaxed. The room was very quiet and I slept wonderfully. The location is excellent - smaller street but very near the places I had wished to visit. The staff was the best. Very good English and helpful in every regard. Very stylish and pretty hotel. In the morning I had a lovely full Turkish breakfast included in the cost. I would certainly recommend it and stay here again! The room was a little small. Shower was a bit unpredictable with the temperature control. I wish the hours of breakfast were expanded a little earlier. The restaurant had limited vegetarian options.

From the moment we pulled up to saved spaces in front of the property, every detail was perfection. Good location, easy to walk to tourist sites and museums. Spotlessly clean, rooms and fittings look brand new and high end. AC and WIFI work well. The team is what make this property very special. We felt like friends by the end of the stay. Good English from the owner and manager. Anything you need at all, just ask! Nothing at all. Any issues mentioned in prior reviews have been addressed

We especially loved the very helpful staff (especially Arzu!) and the terrace view over the city. Water was lukewarm, but for us, was fine.

Absolutely beautiful and very well thought out. The details and design are very appealing. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved the owner! She made the stay very personal and welcoming. The breakfast here is absolutely delicious and so well prepared!!! The area the hotel is located is so walkable with everything near! The only negative thing is the pillows are so over stuffed that they hurt your neck and are uncomfortable.

It’s a unique property in an ancient building. The staff were really helpful and the room was spacious.

The hosts were so lovely. They parked our rental car for us and made sure we had everything we needed. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to all the main attractions. The breakfast was included and was delicious.

Wow, what a great place this is. Staff is so friendly, breakfast superb, and there is a lovely courtyard where you can enjoy the sun and the many birds. We had a typical stone house family room. Location is conveniently close to all the main venues as well. The toilet leaked a bit, and there’s no ventilation in the bathroom but that was absolutely no issue for us.

The building is 500 hundred years old . You are staying in a piece of history . Do not expect all mod cons and standard type rooms . The house is built around a central court yard . The windows over look this , all are extremely different and window sizes also differ . The house was built to withstand the heat and protect those living there . You could not ask for more delightful staff , who go way beyond to make your stay unforgettable . Hear , personally we ate the finest breakfast we have ever eaten in our lives each morning . The Anatolian breakfast was a gastronomic delight . The location in the old part of the city is also excellent . Easily accessible by car and you can walk and visit all the sights and museums . This is an extraordinary and wonderful place that we look forward to returning to.

The hot water was set to a threshold which is not okay. We ran out of hot water when we were showering.

Superb

The location of this hotel is perfect for those wishing to visit the Balikligol area as it is situated in the old town maybe 150 meters from the Balikligol area. The hotel itself is a renovated old (I think) Armenian house with an inner courtyard where you have your breakfast (a generous one at that). I got one of the larger rooms with the jacuzzi in it, which was great to relax in after a long day sight-seeing. They are still working to complete a large kitchen and restaurant on the first floor above the entrance area. I think this will be great as guests will be able to have their lunch and dinner at the hotel. We went out for dinner at night and there are plenty of restaurants nearby.

Beautiful property and really welcoming hosts. We felt at home immediately. Thank you! Delicious breakfast as well! Great location, safe and easy to walk to see the sights.
