Tenuta Montiró

The property is large, with well maintained wild looking gardens, rooms are large and well designed, with ample storage. Some have a private terrace, with seating. Inside, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are spacious (except the shower) and you can enjoy a a beautiful (but cold) pool. Breakfast is delicious, everything fresh, brought by very nice and proper staff. The hotel has and AMAZING restaurant inside, Origine, where we really had the best food we ate during our seven day stay. The staff is incredibly kind, and the property is run by a family which most of its members work in the hotel, making the experience very personal and unique. The only thing I would change, are the bed pillows. They were on the hard side.

Lovely location. Friendly staff . Room was pleasantly decorated large and well appointed .Food excellent . Rooms are in separate blocks which was nice but as the layout of hotel is big it’s easy to get “ lost “ especially at night a layout map would be useful . There were 2 BIG problems 1 was no hot water. I couldn’t have a shower. My husband had to resort to boiling a kettle to shave .! The staff did resolve this after a while by letting me go to another room in another block which did have hot water. Not really ideal considering the price of the hotel to have to wander about the grounds wearing a towel ! Also there was no WiFi. Both of these are basics nowadays especially when you have paid £200 + for a one night stay . Shame these let down what is s lovely place .

Wifi was down while we there and no one notified us of when/if it would be fixed. Place needs a little facelift, but beautiful spot and staff were amazing.

It was peaceful in a natural setting. Everyone provided top notch service. Everything was very comfortable including the bed, bedding, and hygiene products. This was our favorite place to stay during our 2 week trip.

Superb service, upgraded room, lovely facility. Extensive gluten free options. Abundant breakfast choices. Please do not play Jacque Brel constantly in public places! Restaurant for dinner was not comparable to the breakfast offerings.

The service was impeccable from the moment of check in. Staff very accommodating, excellent facilities and compliments to the chefs . Overall extremely well managed and organised hotel.

Hotel was perfect from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to help us with our stay and offering recommendations to booking the most perfect meal for our anniversary. You couldn't lift a finger without a member of the team being there to assist. Grounds and room were spectacular.

Best breakfast we have had with delightful service! Very helpful reception staff. Highly aesthetic gardens and rooms. Hotel was hard for us to find.

Garden is nice The managment made us “early bookers” idiots. Booked room in march, minimum was 3nights even don’t need and price was crazy expensive. When they did not sold all rooms they resuced prices 50% and was able to book 1 night only if you want. So if you book on time you will become idiot.

Good location and lovely staff. You feel a little lost at dinner as clearly the venue is set up for weddings. But I'd definitely go back....

Montiro is a beautiful and well taken care of hotel close to the pristine Salento beaches. We loved the property, the food, service and the the staff! Everyone was so caring and considerate. One of the waitresses gave us the best beach recommendations and suggestions. We stayed for five nights and would have loved to stay longer. We will be back!

Good location, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Not sure it value for money a bit too expensive what what you have on offer.
