Pousada Alterosa

It's one of the best Pousadas I have stayed. Dona Del welcomes you like you're part of the family. She's always there to help with my tours. She didn't skip a beat! She called different agencies to accommodate my needs as a visitor. My only and major regret is not staying longer! Only 3 days is not enough. I had 3 amazing tours and still there's more to see. The breakfast is the best! Dona Del prepares amazing dishes and cakes, delicious local fruit juices, breads and jams, the açaí jam was delicious. She'll also make fresh tapioca with eggs or cheese, made with care and love. You can't miss the wild monkeys! They come every day to get some bananas. Two different species of monkeys. They come at different times of the day. I'd stay there again in a heart beat. The room is cleaned daily, the bad is comfortable and the shower water pressure is great! If you're in doubt, just go for it and stay at this cute little Pousada. It's near near the main square but far enough where you don't hear bar noises. Walking from the property to the main square is an enjoyable experience. Absolutely nothing! This Pousada is perfect.

The owners were lovely and looked after us so well, even though we didn't speak the same language! The room was nice and clean and the garden is beautiful (and a family of monkeys visits in the mornings!) We had a great breakfast with lots of options. It's a short walk to the beach, restaurants and shops.

Superb

Just amazing in everything! The location is fabulous, close to the centre but away from the noisy crowd. It is clean, comfortable and the breakfast is outstanding. The owners are very nice and available to help at any time. On arrival, you will find clean sheets, towels, a soap and a large comfortable bed. Drinkable water is also available downstairs. If you come back from a tour with dirty shoes, the pousada offers a brush, soap and good place to clean it all. Be ready to be greeted by little monkeys in the morning. They come to feed from some fruits the owners leave to them. Breakfast is carefully made by Dona Del. Please order tapiocas! If there is banana, it is a great choice to have it with queijo coalho (cheese). The juice flavours change each day, make sure you try all of them. The same apply to the cakes. My mouth waters just by thinking about it! We had a great experience there. To be honest, a very different one compared to what some friends went through in a different pousada. I hated to leave the pousada. I was almost in tears when Dona Del and Seu Juca came to warmly say goodbye at the gate. If I ever get back to Alter, Alterosa will certainly be my choice!

small cute hostel with good homemade breakfast and clean rooms there were lots of ants on the room but they were really small and we were in the amazon jungle so that was not a problem for us

The place is super comfortable and clean and the hosts are extremely sweet!
