What I didn't like was the fact that I had no idea of the policy where you had to reach in before 10pm. I also didn't like fact the doors was a no key entry.

NAO FIQUE AWUI NESSE HOSTEL! Dono é disonesto e mente! Leia o que aconteceu comigo: DO NOT STAY HERE! The owner is dishonest, they are intentionally making a business out of cancellations and making money on guests who book their hostel but never stay at their facilities. THEY LIED to me saying they couldn't cancel my reservation because Booking charges them even if i don't stay if they cancel it on their end. I called Booking and they said this IS NOT TRUE, meaning if the host cancels as a result of a request from the guest, Booking doesn't charge hosts anything! THEY LIED TO ME! The owner refused to accept my 3 requests to cancel my reservation days before the check in date. The owner didn't even pick up the phone after i called Booking. She intentionally wants to keep the money from guests who don't stay because of a rule they have that is not easy to find on their listing saying they do not allow anyone to enter the hostel after 10pm AT ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. This means you can not arrive after 10 pm even after you check in, at any day! This makes it not possible for many people to stay at the hostel - who doesn't need to stay out until past 10pm? The owner said more people like me ask them to cancel their reservation, but they don't accept and the guest loses their money without ever staying! I thought this rule was valid for the check in, but it's also valid for any day of the week you come in and out. I called the owner twice and explained that i am unemployed at the moment and asked for a refund 3 or 4 times, I asked Booking to send them a request directly as well, and they didn't even respond, despite receiving the request. They are dishonest based on their actions and I had to share it on here. They want money that doesn't belong to them, from many guests, since this happens fairly often that guests are not aware of this rule yet book their hostel.

location is good, bed is comfortable, room is clean. room is too narrow, it is too hard to move in room area. i didn’t understand system of hot water in barhroom, mostly i took shower with cold water. at least there may be a instruction in english, because staff doesn’t speak english.

Everything in the room was broken. The sinks were clogged. The staff was extremely rude and unemphatic. You can't get in the hostel after midnight and you have to wait until 6 in the morning. The hostel is in an uncanny neighborhood and I had to have a terrible night because of the female manager. Uber cancelled on me repeatedly that's why I was gonna be 15 MN late, after midnight. I asked Portuguese speaking random people to call and ask if she can open the door for me. After long talks and explanations, she still said no. I am a woman and I was alone in a city I don't know. I don't speak the language. I had to find a place open until the morning on a Monday night !!! It was horrible. Just horrible. I got a family room and paid for it to be alone. She was trying to put someone else in the room claiming I didn't pay for the whole room. If the receipt wasn't there as evidence, she'd put me in a room with a total stranger although I paid for the entire room. They charged me 60 reals for a round of laundry??? They basically took advantage of me not being Brazilian. They didn't want to give me the room keys while I was going out. As it looked all sketchy, I was uncomfortable leaving my things there. So I asked a friend to put my valuable stuff in her place. All in all, it was a traumatizing experience after I had to stay outside on the street until morning. I got lucky not to get into any trouble but I was afraid for my life the whole night only because I was 15 minutes late. Stay away from that place!

Blanket was dirty. Woman at the reception was not nice.

it was clean and had kitchen facilities in the room The property is closed between 22:00-6:00, not just for check in, FOR EVERYONE. there is no information about that on Booking and THE STAFF DOES NOT INFORM ABOUT THAT EITHER!!! I left the hostel during the day and no one said a thing, during the check in either. I got cold and came back to change and left quite late, and THEN they told me that. My plan was to return after 22:00 WHEN i first left. If i didnt get cold and came back to change, I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER THE HOSTEL FOR THE NIGHT and I would have no idea why the hell I cannot enter the place where I pid to stay for the night! All my stuff was there. I paid, I was sure I have a place for the night, but no, I would end up… i dont even know where? sleeping under the bridge? This is unacceptable. Outrageous. No level of cleanliness or anything else would make up for spending the night on the street. AWFUL.

Wifi was very inconsistent, bedrooms have no locks, and I didn’t realize the rooms would be shared with others until I arrived. Usually on Booking.com, hotels say if it’s a shared room. I was also woken up really early without notice on my last day saying I had to leave immediately because of some cleaning thing (I couldn’t understand their explanation in Portuguese). I was still asleep at this time and I hadn’t packed up anything so it became a big rush. I would’ve appreciated a heads up about this beforehand. Also, this didn’t affect me but there’s a 10pm curfew so be aware of that if you plan to be out late.

Place super clean. Each room is like a little apartment. I did not need to cook or anything like that, but for a longer stay it would be perfect. Close to subway Not the safest neighborhood at night
