Tropical Breeze Resort

We had a wonderful time!

The pool was too small when we walked by it was too crowded to swim. The staff was super nice despite being understaffed. When we got there one girl was answering the phone, while checking a line of people in and had a guest waiting to complain about sand fleas or bed bugs. Great parking and close to beach. It was a great location but the owner needs to put some effort into better beds, cleaner upholstery...we got super grossed out finding stains on the pull out and the mattress on the main bed was so cheap. Not worth 450 a night

One block from the local market and restaurants and shops. And three blocks from the beach. Perfect place for me and my mom on our girls trip.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness was very disappointing. There were stains on multiple surfaces, the floors were dirty, the tables felt sticky and grimy, and the shower curtain had mold on it. It’s a shame because the property has a lot of potential, but the lack of cleanliness significantly affected our stay. I hope they improve this, because with proper cleaning, it would be an excellent place to stay.

I loved it. Great resort so close to the beach as well as the restaurants.

The staff was extremely helpful and nice. We got there earlier than check in and they allowed us to store our bags at the reception area so we could still go do things and even got our room ready and allowed to check in earlier than suppose to so they could accommodate us. Amazing place. Amazing location. Amazing staff.

Located in the perfect location. Walking distance to the beach and many restaurants/shops. The closest beach access was not crowded, but there was no beach equipment rentals. Had to drive a few minutes down the road to the more populated beach access for rentals, which was inconvenient and not easy to find parking. The resort supplied beach chairs, but they were very old and rusty, one being completely broken. Stayed for 5 nights and room service stopped by every day, replacing the towels as often as requested. It didn’t feel necessarily dirty, however, our room had many cockroaches.

Housekeeping was late getting our room ready. Did give a $50 complimentary gift card to MVP pub which was nice. Outlets were in odd places with nothing to set you're phone, etc on while charging. Like the two large TVs.

The location was great. However, there was suppose to be daily cleaning service and they never showed up. We had to go to the office twice and ask for coffee, towels etc. and each time they said they would have someone there the next day but no one showed up the entire stay.

We booked two king suites on one reservation and when we checked in the rooms were on opposite ends of the property and not connected in any way. Had to walk an entire block to get to each other. Like, really? If that would have been the worst thing, I would just deal with it. This property was absolutely filthy. I should have known when I saw the couch outside of the check-in office. It belongs in a dumpster not as a welcome to our resort. I should have left right then. The rooms were filthy. We had mold along the whole tub line, my daughter’s room had multiple hairs on the sink at check-in. We just went out in the lovely town for dinner and ice cream and stayed out of the rooms as long as we could. To end our horror story at the Tropical Breeze “resort”, I went to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and cockroaches were scurrying about the floor. I screamed and once my husband turned the light on, they hid. There were two large ones dead on the kitchen floor when we woke up. Upon checking out in the morning, the nice lady at the desk acted like she had heard my story many times prior. She said we would get a review from the resort (which we have not) and I could upload all the pictures of what I have just stated and management would reach out to me…still waiting. I have traveled the world and have never been so disappointed ever. I have never left a bad review at a restaurant, hotel, resort, etc. Spend your hard earned money in lovely Siesta Key anywhere but here.

This resort is very close to the beach, bars, restaurants and shopping. You can literally walk to everything. The room was very nice the only thing is you don’t get daily cleaning and need to request more towels. The people cleaning the rooms were very nice and hardworking though. Check in was not great as I had to wait nearly 45 minutes before my room was ready. The lady at the front desk was very nice and made she communicated well. Overall I enjoyed my stay and will stay again.

It is advertise that there is direct access to the beach, but there is no direct access to the beach. You have to walk 2 to 3 blocks to get to the beach. The pool area was not cleaned up. There were beer cans around a water bottles all over the place in the morning when we went to the pool. It says it is a resort, but it is not a resort. The only thing you can do is go to the pool.

Easy walk to beach and to the village. Free trolley in village area to go to different points. Very nice and laid back area!

Free laundry was great!

Tropical Breeze Resort is located very close to the beach and Siesta Key Village. The people who work here are kind and helpful. The property is spread out over a couple of blocks, so it was a little confusing on what pools, common areas, etc.... we were allowed to use. Our "suite" was ok. The king bed was too big for the space and there was less than 12 inches to walk around it to get to the bathroom. I hit my knee on the corner of the bed frame many times :( the pools were very nice and the resort provided beach towels.

Room 109. Tiny room, reminds me of a cruise cabin with a bigger bathroom. Good for a weekend stay, but I couldn’t spend more than that in such a small space. Place was clean and it looks like it recently underwent an upgrade. Check in was easy and staff was professional. There’s nowhere in the bathroom to put your stuff, like toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving gel etc. as it’s just a pedestal type wash sick, so no counter space. Shampoo, conditioner and body gel were provided free of charge in the shower. Also there are no night tables in the bedroom, room is only big enough for the bed to fit, so nowhere to put your phone while it’s charging or if you need to use it as an alarm etc. I know these are probably trivial things to some people, but they are important enough to me for wanting me to return, so this is not a personal criticism of the property by any means. They provide beach chairs and beach towels and ice is available inside the front office, there are no ice machines outside. I enjoyed the courtyard and the chairs and bbq they provided, so a bit of an outdoor space to just chill and be outside your room is a nice touch and it’s right outside your front door. This place is not directly on the beach, it’s about an 8 min walk, so not too bad. Location was perfect, walking distance to restaurants, ice cream shop, grocery store etc, I would say the location is a 10. Overall not a bad place, I would describe it as quaint, but not somewhere I’d stay for a week’s vacation
