We stayed in room 3 which was a great size room, bed really comfortable and amazing stay. We had breakfast every morning at the sisters hotel a few doors up. Staff so friendly and welcoming Nothing - very happy with our little breakaway

The staff were helpful and friendly. Good sized clean bedroom, well stocked with tea and coffee. Easy parking, good sized breakfast and close enough for a nice walk into the main seafront area of Scarborough. Nothing.

We booked a room at the Maynard but we were upgraded to an apartment next door, which was a lovely surprise. Although I can't rate the Maynard (as we didn't stay in there), I can 100% recommend staying at Derwent House Apartments next door. It was a relaxing stay, the beds very amazingly comfortable, we had coffee and milk prepared at our arrival. We found some games in one of the drawers and played Monopoly with the children in the evening (it's a Scarborough edition, so this helped us recognize the places around Scarborough!). The rooms have black out blinds so the quality of the sleep was just superb. Last but not least - the apartment design was excellent, a real treat for anyone who loves art and design. I loved the works of the local artist displayed all around the apartment and am looking forward to ordering something off his website for Christmas :-) P.S The breakfast we booked was served at the Rowntree Lodge across the street and it was really, really good, the eggs florentine and the children's oats were perfectly cooked. Thank you to Claire and the team at Rowntree Lodge for making our stay so lovely (and making us want to visit Scarborough again - next time maybe in the summer!) Nothing I can think of!

We initially booked the Maynard but were moved to this sister hotel, The Rowntree. The rooms were very spacious and spotlessly clean, lovely little touches like chocolates and biscuits were appreciated. The breakfast in The Rowntree really was exceptional, the pancakes are to die for. Claire was very helpful, especially as my son managed to lock himself out of the room (sorry) Will definitely recommend and will stay again Oh...the pillows were amazing, exactly between soft and firm (if you know what I mean) Nothing I can think of

When we arrived . We were upgraded to an apartment in a sister hotel just next door it was beautiful and so much more than what we had expected (or paid for ) . Claire was so accommodating and really helpful and made the stay so much better than expected and we counted our blessings to have had such an upgrade . Breakfast was served in a building just across the road and was open 9-2 which was perfect as meant no rushing for breakfast and the food was lovely as were all the staff .

Booked for being Convenient for the spa. That the coffee shop closed early.
