Fantastic breakfast. Really couldn't be bettered. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is fine. We were on the third floor. There is some kind of bar on the basement level, blaring music all evening. Once in your room, you can hear a constant boom, boom, boom. Don't get me wrong, I love music, the louder the better, but not on the third floor at night.

Very friendly staff, comfortable and spacious room which you don’t always find with a single room. Fabulous cooked breakfast. Close to station Room was very warm even with the window open.

Location and service excellent as was breakfast. Reasonably priced and far better than expected. Rooms, bathroom were perhaps a bit tired but for an overnight stay, at the price we were very satisfied

Breakfast really good and staff are great. The room was clean although could do with updating and the carpet quite dirty and badly fitting. Wish I’d been informed in enough time to change booking as the hotel had very loud booming music on until 1 am ie a month prior. I feel the hotel would have known for quite a while this was happening. I was informed 2 days before the stay and after I’d been billed. I was only informed about when the music would stop when my daughter specifically asked the question. That info wasn’t volunteered. Items in my room were vibrating due to the loudness of the music and it was impossible to sleep until it had stopped. I didn’t want a 1am bedtime imposed on me. Really infuriating. The bed in the single room was far too soft to get decent sleep. And to add, the fire alarm kept going off. The next morning, no apologies for this. This hotel is animal friendly. One guest arrived at the breakfast room with 2 dogs NOT on leads and the dogs then ran around the main area where other guests were eating, then another guest had his dog on a lead but he wasn’t holding it and his dog then proceeded to but his nose up on the food table. My daughter actually said ‘glad I’ve eaten’.

Nice room [upgraded to double]; friendly helpful staff and great food selection at breakfast. Due to the warm weather the window had to be kept open and this was propped open by a piece of wood. The open window overlooked the main street and beer garden so a little noisy till early hours. This is only a minor gripe.

The location was good, the staff were lovely and polite, the Scarborough room which we stayed in had lots of potential Our room could be amazing, however a few bits really let it down, extensions running along the floor, a broken fan on the floor, when we checked and went to our room the cleaner had only just arrived to clean the room, the carpet didn’t get vacuumed

Staff were lovely, great service, welcoming and really helpful. The location is great and plenty of parking facilities around. Bathroom ceiling had a fair bit of damp coming through. Noise levels from an event in the lounge downstairs was very high but they did send an email in advance with warning about potential noise a couple of days before the stay.

Beautiful hotel, the room was elegant and comfortable. The staff were all helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a great location in Scarborough. That I was only staying 1 night, the whole experience was brilliant

Grand hotel, great location, first class breakfast. We paid £170 for one night which I thought was overpriced. The room was tired (the duvet needs replacing as it’s very old and flat). The view out the window was hideous. We looked onto a bag full of rubbish and pigeons/pigeon droppings.
