Lots of steps to reach promenade, room unkempt and unusable kettle

Staff was friendly This hotel was like faulty towers, very dated and falling apart The breakfast was toast and cereal only due to the kitchen being closed

It’s was good location & friendly & clean & great value & bar & beer garden was nice All good

The bed was a bit hard. The room windows do not open so much so the room was very hot and the last day they did not do a fried breakfast because they had a fire in the kitchen so do not know how long it will be before they can cook again. Bit disappointed because I have to pay for breakfast out

We found this place okay Friendly Owner ,breakfast was great too really enjoyed our over night stay ,I'd definitely come again ? There's nothing we didn't like .

The staff went above and beyond. The room was very spacious, comfortable and warm. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast and the cooked breakfast was lovely. The stairs were a bit of a struggle for my pregnant daughter

Room on entry not to standard, ceiling damaged, TV not working. Fire door on stairwell damaged hanging on lower hinge only.. Asked Manager for refund, replied contact booking.com. you cannot get any joy when trying to contact booking.com at all.

The view was beautiful on a shining sunny morning The price I paid just short of £200 for bed and breakfast for 3 people. The room was way to hot a fan was in the room. Mix match wallpaper I still cant get over this a big patch of wall paper was replaced with a different pattern !! Glasses in the bathroom were filthy still with someones toothpaste on them. Table stand with tv on still had coffee cup marks. The carpets in the room wernt even fitted properly and just cut to size. This is just not acceptable for a £200 room a night you wouldnt pay it in a city centre in Yorkshire. Iv stayed in Scarborough a lot and never paid this price before so expected a higher standard but have stayed on BnB's that are a lot cheaper and cleaner. Come on owners get this place cleaned up its a beautiful building but needs some TLC

The room was huge. Comfortable beds Sea view ( even from the loo!!) You can see the harbour from the room .

Location good, clean and comfy bed and hot breakfast. Disc rather than parking scratch cards not as clear on parking times and restrictions with this didn’t want a ticket!

Fantastic people - Julian and his wife are doing a fantastic job but still new in this hotel. Bar, darts, breakfast, prices - all great no problems at all. Rooms packed with beds, heating on full blast and unable to turn off, lift is terrible (very very old)

N/A We asked for a room on the ground floor, we were allocated a room on the third floor with NO lift working, it said on your web site "car park" there was NO car park. We spent the first night of two at the hospital and went home the following morning from the hospital due to my wife's illness. We could not leave our room if we wanted to because the thought of having to climb the stairs terrified us both. We would request that you return our money back and we understand that the owners have asked you to refund us.

The view but shame about the cracked and dirty windows. The standards of finishings and cleanliness.

Staff were lovely. Breakfast was lovely and sea view was special.

Staff helpful and all seem to work very hard. Nice view if room is on that side. Dinner was delicious and decent price. Breakfast disappointing. Soft floors, tiny bathroom very shabby condition, very very old building.

Nice quiet location away from town centre
