It’s a modern style; homy hotel located in the heart of Kota Lama Semarang. Just 5 minutes walk to train station. Wonderful atmosphere surrounding.

Location is superb.

The location is strategic.. In the middle of Kotalama Semarang. Great ambience and not noisy.

The hotel is nice in a strategic location, but the arrangement is a bit weird. - There is no towel in the room when we checked into our room until we asked them, but only big towel no small towel. - They do not give you 2nd key even if you travel as couple, you have to ask. - No phone in the room, they use WA chat to communicate with front office, down side: Late Response, do not expect immediate response e.g. I sent request at 1.40 PM, got response at 2.03 PM. - No drink water on your last day: "you are not entitled to a drink water since you're checking out today." This was the exact answer I got from the housekeeping guy when I asked for water and coffee powder. So... we have to practice patience here. >.<"

Simple breakfast yet extra ordinary, delicious sourdough bread with range of choices.. The location right in the middle of kota lama semarang, just a walk away from tourist location. We'll stay again next trip

Aesthetic and very comfortable! But not totally soundproof but its ok!

Suggestion: mattress needs to be rotated regularly to avoid uneven dip and sag. Perhaps need firmer mattress too.

The prime location that is in the heart of Kota Lama heritage,the fresh design of the room and quite affordable for hotel in such location. The shower system is nice.Staffs are nice and helpful, which is a standard btw. The room is clean and spacious tho. It doesnt provide a good soundproof, we can hear anything that happens in the hall from our room. It doesnt provide fridge, no table and chair for us to work by laptop,room was smell bad when i got in at the first time, a sign of less maintenance. Bfast offered is limited thru a la carte menu, for such price should be given a buffet package i think. Table for food and drinks is at one design with the place to put our luggage which is not quite convenient but with ur good placement of stuffs, u can solve it. However table for drink shud be separated in my pov.

What a beautiful place! Love the style, attention to details, amazing breakfast and the location is really best to explore Semarang Kota Lama. Two little things: There could be more storage space The ac is very direct over the bed.

The Kotta Hotel is in a lovely location in Oude Stad, the part of Semarang with many beautiful buildings dating back to when Indonesia was still under Dutch colonial rule. Especially at night there is a wonderful atmosphere in this neighborhood, with quite a few good restaurants around. The main reason though for choosing this hotel was that it is very close to Semarang Tawang railway station from where the train to Jakarta leaves. We actually walked there, with suitcases, in under 10 min., though of course you could also take a Grab. The hotel is modern, hip and trendy. The rooms are clean with good airconditioning. Breakfast was a combination of a cereal, fruit, juice and tea and coffee buffet and an à la carte menu with warm dishes, both Indonesian and Western. All very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. There’s an Indomart right across the street if you need some groceries. We were surprised that when we returned to the hotel at 9.30h we couldn’t get any none alcoholic drinks anymore: no tea, no coffee, no juice, no mocktails. When you’re traveling as a family sometimes you don’t want alcohol. There was a kettle in the room but only coffee, no tea. The airconditioning in our room was rather noisy, sounding a bit like a washing machine.

The vibes and the vibrant design of the hotel gave guests a superb welcome and the staffs were helpful and attentive. Special shoutout to the WhatsApp team that attended to my feedback on the noisy aircon in rm 316. Though it took 2 days and on the final day, I was changed to a new room. The gesture is very much appreciated. The noisy aircon that can be bothering to a good night sleep. The quality of the breakfast can be better in my opinion as a chef.

Probably one of the best hotel in downtown Bandung. Breakfast is unbeatable. Room is spacious, sometimes felt too big for solo traveller. Best rooms are the one facing pool. Location is not in the best part of downtown.

Wonderful stay

1. Location is in tourism area, old Semarang city 2. Surrounding area has so many resto-s and shops 3. Near train station : Tawang, 10 minutes by walking. 1. The room is quite small and lack of furniture 2. Strong camphor smell 3. No local Semarang food for breakfast 4. Access to hotel is quite tough esp. on weekend starting from friday night.
